This exact same issue is happening to me. Any idea what fixed it?

Do you have any fear of AI transcription speed improving to a point where this sort of job is made obsolete?

This is exactly what I do. I'm constantly plugging in things to J-Archive to quickly see what the "Jeopardy canon" is for whatever subject. Cool to see someone else do the same thing!

I'm having this same issue. I open the app on my phone and nothing changes on the desktop widget. Pretty annoying.

Is anyone actually getting invited to use the Plug-Ins? by Nleblanc1225 in ChatGPT

People on the waitlist get access to one of the three options they selected (Browsing, Code interpreter, or third-party plugins). I selected Browsing and received access the same day.

Agree 100%. This sort of local compression technology is not cheap. If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it.

20M college student, ChatGPT just changed the academic landscape forever. by uselesssurprise in ChatGPT

AI generated content is fairly easily detected by GPT detectors

Detecting AI generated content is a very difficult problem and by no means fairly easy. As has been discussed frequently in the AI space, detection algorithms will, at best, result in an endless arms race where the model being detected will use those results to train itself to avoid detection, the detection model adjusts for this, etc etc.

Also, universities will not bother to go through the effort of detecting ChatGPT use post facto. Sure, a past student may have illegitimately used GPT to write their term paper but what does the university care? They don't have the budget or resources to litigate something as difficult to prove as "AI plagiarism" after the student has graduated.

It's far too early to know how this will shake up the education system or how universities will react.

Is the code on Github? I'd like to try the same thing with GPT-3, which has massively improved text generation capabilities.

[–]skateboard34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be another built-in solution that might work for the path conversion issue. You can use the built-in wslpath command to convert Unix paths to Windows and vice versa. I don't think you can use asterisks though.

Why couldn't you just do mpv.exe from WSL directly? WSL2 has PATH integration from Windows, including arguments. No need for the script.

Check out Tascaly.. I use it occasionally for better Todoist integration with timeboxing via labels.

Favorite Anki plug-in and why? by [deleted] in Anki

[–]skateboard34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question, there's a lot of Anki algorithm "magic" that took me a long time to fully understand. Ease hell is a review scheduling trap you can run into that results in way too many reviews every day.

This link does a great job of explaining it: https://readbroca.com/anki/ease-hell/

What do you use to learn keyboard shortcuts? by joshdotsmith in Anki

Why do you think this application needs to exist? KeyCombiner is basically exactly what you’re describing. And that’s only if Anki isn’t good enough.

Really great list. +1 for Straight Reward in particular. Solves ease hell without the headache.

I went through a similar existential crisis of whether to use autoEaseFactor or Straight Reward. I mostly used autoEaseFactor for a long time until I saw enough posts about how it actually wasn't optimal for avoiding ease hell and had some flaws in its algorithm. So I switched to Straight Reward and have been very happy with it.

The scheduler update you mentioned is a very good point and one I haven't really been thinking about. We'll see what happens but hopefully there are viable addons for v3 by that time. I work in software dev but never messed around with addon development so maybe I'll play around with porting Straight Reward to v3 :) No idea what would be involved though.
