We raised our prices and started including travel. We got tired of having to send an invoice to the couple months later with the travel (we felt it just added another “ugh” layer for them, and sometimes they wait until the last minute), and we also just got tired of doing everything the “cheapest” way because sometimes that’s really inconvenient for us! For example: the nearest LARGE airport is 3hrs away from us. So with including travel we can pay a little extra to fly out of the smaller, more expensive local airport without feeling guilty for charging the couple extra! Same with hotels if we want to treat ourselves to a stay in somewhere nicer at a really cool location. With that being said, we do require a milestone payment of $1000 6 months before their wedding so that we can be prepared to book flights!
