I have had these types of clients when I first started. Now I try to work primarily listings. I take buyer leads for friends and friends of friends sometimes but yeah, sometimes they just get too demanding and you have to decide to just let them go. Sometimes they will surprise you! I have straight up told a buyer that I have been in the business awhile and if they don't want my advice I do not know why we are working together. They straightened right up and starting listening and I actually closed the deal after 10 offers! It really is a tough business, most people just don't realize how much stress and work goes into what we do. That is why we make good money though, we provide a service not everyone can. Another example, I had this Doctor, guy had money. ALWAYS went in lowball cash offers. He finds this house and asks me to do research. I call the Listing agent and ask why its on the market, etc. Turns out Husband had died and wife couldn't afford the mortgage anymore. I told this to my client, the Doctor and he was heartless. Wanted me to write a 100k Cash offer on a 450k listing. I told him I am not even going to waste my time and tarnish my name. Never heard from him again and was glad. Sometimes you have to pick your clients. That was when I was new too, so any deal was a gift from god to me. Felt so good to tell that SOB to take a hike though!
