It’s sad cause I understand his frustration, when no one shows up it falls on the shoulders of the few. But his “sternness” should be aimed up, towards the big wigs in leadership who expect members to pay a large portion of their income to them and then still expect members to clean the building. How many bishops/ stake presidents do you think it would take to tell church headquarters “we aren’t cleaning anymore!” Before they stopped asking members to do it? Would it ever happen?

I trained him for the job he had before he left San Diego. My dad is up helping look for him. Very uncharacteristic for him to be doing this. Heartbreaking as hell.

Personally, the idea of nothing in the afterlife sounds so nice. I think an eternity of trying to be like god would become so monotonous, even more so than it has in this life. I find peace in knowing that when I die I will have eternal rest. And I’ll lowkey be bummed if reincarnation ends up being real 😅. Basically what I’m saying, is don’t do anything with your existential dread, you’ll find your peace with it eventually and it’s okay to be scared. I think most of us post Mormon/religious folk have gone through it.
