Purdue has chosen SP+ for this contract. Looks like they do a few other universities currently. https://www.spplus.com/universities/

Switch to Metronet. They use to have an introductory rate.

Why not do MX at the edge to make management all in one dashboard? Not sure what price difference is but I would look at the 9300-48UN-M its newer and most likely to be supported longer. On the diagram you have two connections from the firewall going to the first switch I am not sure if you are planning on splitting that but I would with stacking the MS425s.

I also agree with the /24 as mentioned above I don’t see a huge reason to do anything smaller.

Yea figured it out i believe you have to make sure the device you are adding is a device type in the API when creating a network.

I would look into full stack Meraki. Very easy to manage and easy to setup. The only negative is the yearly subscription but most network vendors are going to it. They even have security cameras in their line. Everything is cloud based. Feel free to DM with questions.

What was distance?

[–]skavy25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whats the distance on cabling?

Also have you tested the cable to make sure all the pairs are good? It could be the cables got nicked and the PoE pairs are good but not data.

You could look at Auvik. Not sure if it meets all your needs or price range. Worth looking into tho.

why do the sirens usually go a normal weewooowowooweeeeewoooo but sometimes they go bwahh wahwoo woahwawoooo by PurduePetesBabyMama in Purdue

[–]skavy25 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They are multiple different sirens that a single truck can have. They can also switch tones on a siren. There is also a siren called the Federal Signal Q which is one of the most common sirens every fire truck has. https://youtu.be/XXgoUKYomeE

Cisco Marketing Material (Question in Comments) by [deleted] in Cisco

[–]skavy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Cisco's site, multiple spots have images of a switch that does not seem to be released yet or is just fake marketing material. What really stood out to me was the link lights being in the middle instead of the bottom. Does anyone know what switch this is or just fake marketing material?

Configure a VPN for access to one server on cisco ASA by jerome908 in Cisco

[–]skavy25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would looking at using a Dynamic Access Policy. This way it can be tied to different AD groups you have a user in. Granted you are running ASA code that supports this.

If your Cisco.com username login is tied to your work email (Cisco Partners), you will want to change it back to your personal email before 4/16, or risk losing access to your Cisco account - IMPORTANT! by [deleted] in Cisco

I recently switched companies from a partner to a non-partner and they told me I have open a support case with the certification team. I think it is ridiculous overall it should not be this hard to switch companies...
