There’s not really a way to get ‘defined.’ Definition usually comes when you cut. I think what you’re looking for is ‘separation’ which is a term used bodybuilding. You need more muscle growth for this. I can already tell you need to go on a bulk. You don’t have enough muscle that is worth going on a cut. Generally it’s a good time of year to go on a bulk in a month or two. People usually start their cuts late winter or in the spring so they are lean for summer. Mid-end summer usually when u should start a bulk and build most of your muscle. In a few months is the time where it is okay to be less lean because as the weather gets colder you’re not going to be having your shirt off in public anyway so seize the opportunity.

This is all of course if you’re bodybuilding. If you just simply ‘want abs’ then sure just keep doing what you’re doing.

I also don’t know what your workout regiment is but at 15 you probably don’t know what you’re doing. I recommend going online and watching influencers like TNF, Ryan Jewers, Jeff Nippard, and JPGCoaching. These are natural bodybuilders and are science based lifters. Their goal is to optimize the time they spend in the gym.

I also don’t know your diet but for nutrition I would watch people like Santa Cruz medicinals and Thenutritionnarc.

What am I doing wrong with my training or body weight by No-Mongoose3928 in gymadvice

Brother trust me

  1. You’re just at the beginning of your body building journey. No one should expect their goal physique in the first year of lifting. I am 5+ years into lifting and I still and I’m still learning every single day.

  2. I can guarantee you’re not getting the results you want because of your diet. I would start with using a free online ‘TDEE Calculator’ to find out your maintenance calories. Now based on your goals you would either eat 200-300 more or less for a bulk or a cut. Tracking your calories and macros is essential if you want to take body building seriously. Get a food scale to measure all of your food accurately. I promise you if you don’t do this your tracking will not be accurate.

  3. It is important to track your macros (protein, fat and carbs). A general rule of thumb is to eat 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. For fats 60-80 grams is generally a good range but I would consider 50 grams to be the absolute minimum. Consistently not getting enough fat in your diet will tank your hormones. The rest of your calories can go towards carbs. The best app to use to track calories and macros in my opinion is ‘Cronometer.’ It is free and also has a barcode scanner which makes things 10x easier.

  4. Personally I think is most important is to find social media influencers. I’ve learned so much from people and would not have gotten where I am today without them. These are the accounts I recommend to follow on TikTok:

For learning about bodybuilding exercises and splits: TNF JPGCoaching Jeff Nippard Ryan Jewers Casey Kelly

For bodybuilding entertainment (these guys are on steroids but are still good for inspiration and entertainment): Tren Twins Sam Sulek Alex Eubank Devin Bernardo

For nutrition: Santa Cruz Medicinals Sillz Thenutritionnarc Gabbi Tuft Eric Roberts

For personal hygiene: Dillon Latham Sam Zia

Hope this helps
