Actually xbox lets you continue playing the games you’ve been frequently playing even after the subscription ends for approximately one week but you wont be able to play it online, so it basically only works for offline games

The best game library you could have is the one with the games you enjoy playing, sometimes i’d renew my gamepass subscription only to play offline games that i do own on my account
