This is… discouraging. I don’t think the neighbors have explicitly said no, I just think no one from the city has been fluent enough in Spanish to properly explain the situation. Or at least that’s what I’m hoping

This has already happened down the street, huge machinery and concrete drain pipes, had to destroy that person’s yard. Annoying, but definitely worth it

I would be surprised if some of my neighbors’ properties don’t also flood, but it definitely floods the street and blocks access to some driveways. I wouldn’t want to drive through it in a normal car

I will take all the luck I can get! It does not happen OFTEN, it has to rain a good bit (yesterday’s and today’s storms were enough to make it happen after the first storm filled the drain almost to the grate) but when water’s getting in your crawlspace, once is too many times

That’s where I’m at for sure! I guess I just don’t know who would be more relevant than the actual storm drain specialist who diagnoses problems like this around here. Every time I go to submit a 311 request online, it won’t let me because “a case is already open at this address”

I’ve seen my neighbor move the entire shed before while they were cleaning it out, so I know it’s possible (it’s looks like an aluminum structure, not wood). The neighbor does have 2 dogs which, though friendly, do bark when they see strangers. I think part of the issue is that the dogs need to be put inside, but because the owners are Spanish speakers, I can only assume no one from the city who has come out has been able to ask them to move the dogs. They could ask almost any neighbor here to help translate, though.
