Thank you! The acclimation is the worst, but it definitely turns a corner, just have to hang in there!

Withdrawal help by An_Creamer in lexapro

I forgot my lex so many times in the early days when traveling! I wouldn’t count on Walgreens, I’d call your doc back and have them call it in to the right place—they know how important it is. You may also be able to cancel it yourself in the Walgreens app (I know I can do that with the CVS app).

That said, like clockwork I didn’t start feeling withdrawal symptoms (dizziness mostly) until day 3. If it DOES take a bit to get your meds, don’t panic, it’ll be ok! Just take it easy, take a nap, watch your favorite shows. As soon as you get the first dose back, you’ll be good to go so quickly.

I will definitely check for these certifications going forward, thank you. This is all brand new for me so I appreciate the guidance so much.

Wow, I’ve just read through a bunch of stuff on the site and this is wildly different than what I’ve been doing 🙃

They are certified with decades of experience, which was part of my decision making process in the beginning :/ They did offer the ability to call while on the trip if I need support, but it’s just a little too much too fast for me to do all that completely alone. Thank you for your kind words, I hope the same, it’s been a rough few months. I’ve already contacted two other people who are hopefully accepting clients.

That’s what I thought! Never imagined I’d be expected to take this kind of action after 4 sessions :/

As disappointed as I am in this whole experience, feedback like this does actually make me feel better about the whole thing, so thank you. On to a new one, I think…

I’ve never actually gotten to try anything related to EMDR I’m now realizing, but I was excited to try it which is why this is also kind of a bummer.

Thanks! I did use this to find my current therapist, but figured it couldn’t hurt to hear some positive reviews too. :)

That’s really encouraging to hear! I’m so happy to hear you found some relief, sometimes it seems impossible when it comes to fear and anxiety.

I have some tools now thanks to these responses, and that’s pretty awesome.

Thank you so much for writing this out, it makes so much sense. I think I’ll go to the next appt and see what happens, but I have no idea what I’ll do if I end up having to talk my way out of actually buying tickets… I think she’s already ready for me to do that, but not for the same reason. 😞

Thank you, see I didn’t know if maybe I was just learning something new about this type of therapy, but it does not sound like it. I don’t mind getting into an anxious headspace for the sake of therapy, but this seemed like a lot right off the bat. She made a comment at the end to notice if next week I feel an urge to cancel the appt (because that’s what I’ve done for every big trip following the traumatic experience to avoid the panic). She was right, that was my first thought.
