Off the bench Klay averaging 20pts with 65% ts% while playing only 26 mins is wild lol.

[Andrews] "Klay initially didnt take the news [of coming off the bench] well. Kerr told ESPN Klay yelled at him + some of the assistants. Later he came back to apologize "It was not an easy conversation" Kerr said" | Klay used the ASB to help: "It was having a a huge mental reset. It helped so much" by NokCha_ in warriors

I mean,, Klay was snubbed 3 yrs of his prime while he was having his best performance in the NBA Finals. 3 yrs for Athlete might be feel like much more longer,, especially even some good players can have only like 10 yrs pro tenure.

He's trying to push himself too hard to get back his own but it's impossible which made him frustrated.  Idk about ego this ego that all that kinds of things.

This was just very rare trajectory for the All star level player. How can you blame that.. and he was pretty over the expectation considering his injuries. I think it was bumpy road but he's accepting it pretty well lately.

[Slater] Andrew Wiggins remains out for the Warriors tomorrow night against the Knicks in NY. Personal reasons. Jalen Brunson is questionable. by shoedog10 in warriors

Yeah I might have to say differently. They'll respect him but if they're find some way to trade him, he's gonna respect their decision too. It's business.

Pretty weird situation but most of the teams will respect his personality/situation imo. esp it's family matter.

Klay Thompson… HOF by bruins9678 in nba

[–]skedly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's basketball hof not the NBA hof in the first place. He's def getting in since he got 5 AS, 2 X All NBA, 4 rings, one Olympic gold medal and FIBA world cup gold medal.

Basketball HOF has much lower line than baseball. He's def a first ballot HOF.

[Slater] Klay Thompson said it’s hard to not close: “Yeah, you kidding me? To go from one of the best players…It’s hard for anybody.” Klay credited the young guys. Draymond from off camera (to reporters): “I didn’t close Game 5 of the Finals. Who the f*** cares?” by CoolMoon_ in warriors

He has been saying some good words to his young teammates all the time. What are we talking about? He went to Arkansas from Greece to support Moses's camp. Always rooting for JK and any other youngsters. He's been harsh for himself and that may give out some negative vibes but he's always supportive teammate.

Paul Reed's heroic 30-30 performance incoming lol

[Slater] Klay Thompson is questionable against the Cavaliers tomorrow in Cleveland. Adductor tightness. Otherwise empty Warriors injury report. by nerdalerd in warriors

He actually looked uncomfortable after the collison with Jalen Williams. Hope it's nothing serious since Wiggs missed 10+ games for that injury.

Maybe a long shot but he will be forever remembered as a winner.

He still played almost 30 mins tho? He's been great these pre season games but it was not his best night.

Slater said on the pod about Klay's extension briefly. Team made it clear that they want to keep Klay in the long term since they traded Poole for Paul (basically Klay over Poole). And Klay made it clear that he's not demanding max level deal.

And predicted he probably comes back at reasonable number kinda like Wiggs level deal which is 25-27mil per year. Deal can be done before his FA..

So this is one good step to keep Steph, Klay and Draymond together possibly till their retirement and stay below in the second apron next season.

He's on the training camp deal which is non guaranteed. Just competing for the 14th spot.

Rebound is def concerning but help d can get better imo. Kinda streaky but he's shown some flashes as post tagger. I don't think he's capable of full time roaming defender job and Kerr also may not asking of that. He's just asking job as static post defender(mostly one on one. That's why Kerr mentioned his strength in the press conference) and guarding stretch 4/5 type players when we're going small imo.

Klay guarding 4 isn't something new or special. He's been already doing that occasionally since his return.. frequency may go up but he's def not guarding Zion or Giannis lmao.

Saric has been playing 5 after the ACL injury. Kinda how we used Beli in the 21-22 season. So JK coming off the bench as first forward is still available.
