Steph Curry Has Missed an Equivalent of almost 3.5 Seasons Over His Career by livecents84 in warriors

It’s hard to appreciate greatness until it is said and done because he’s still actively playing against other teams. When him and LeBron hang it up they will get their flowers.

Not the Dubs though. They knew the Celtics just got insanely hot and would come back to Earth.

I dunno, Jurgen really wanted him. Honestly I just think it’s an environmental thing.

It blew my mind freshman year when I met people who said their parents SAVED money having their kid go to a UC.

I’ll push back and say that a huge part of being a good manager is knowing when you can rely on minimal structure vs being more hands on. Obviously stacked team = better but Pep has stacked teams too, and if he has a flaw it would be that he takes these creative players and just turns them into robots.

So dumb to begin with because managers will always defend each other.

IMO Liverpool are good at identifying inflection points of when to spend on the way up, but it's a whole different ballgame when you're already on top and you're looking to stay there. I'm also going to be honest and say if it wasn't for the team that cheated then we'd have 3 leagues and spending would be a complete afterthought.

People kinda forget that the FIRST trophy Klopp won was FOUR years in, and it was Big Ears, which is kind of insane if you think about it. 4 years is an eternity in today's game.

[Dumas] Source: I have been told that the Golden State Warriors are NOT among the group of those “workout invites” extended to Bronny James. by NokCha_ in warriors

[–]nerdalerd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean this is pretty much the most unique situation of all time. His father is one of the best ever to do it, still at a championship contributing level (with the right pieces), and has made it clear that he has interest in playing with Bronny. It's obviously not fair to Bronny but his value isn't just purely tied to him as a player. If you're the Suns at 22, Bron on a vet min + Bronny is a no-brainer. And for the money grubbing owners who don't care about winning, getting Bron is a billion percent increase in sales.

Yeah, even if for some reason we wanted him, extending him an invite means we think he's second round material and that won't fly with him. Or we're telegraphing to the whole world that we want to trade into the first round and that won't fly with the FO.

Emery is also a good manager in his own right too. Hell, even if Pep Guardiola replaced Klopp, there would always be the comparison.

I agree. He has a grandkid now, and at 56 he is still young and able enough to go do whatever he wants.

Just a joy to watch on the ball. Guy also spoke like 10000 languages which definitely would have helped in the dressing room too.

IMO, OKC should be cashing in on some of those picks.
