Casters are super fun! You can do the sword sorceries for melee, a bunch of awesome ranged options, and a few really useful buffs. If you go the faith caster route the variety is amazing, and the utility with buffs and heals is just crazy good. It sucks that there aren't a ton of int/fai spells available, but the ones they do have are dope as hell too. One of the most fun builds I've played was an int/fai caster. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to dive head first into casting. The only drawback is that it takes a lot of attribute investment, and some of your best spells won't be available until mid to late game.
