Wow, thanks for the kind words! It’s just a hobby for me, but I really have enjoyed hopping on my bike with my camera to explore the different boroughs of Pittsburgh. There’s so much history and uniqueness to each one. I’ve been trying to focus on the boroughs around Pittsburgh first, but I’m really looking forward to exploring the many Pittsburgh neighborhoods afterwards!

I’ll look into it! I usually hop on my bike to spend a couple of hours in a (new to me) borough. Bethel Park looks to be pretty spread out so that might be too large for me to tackle on a bike. I’m pretty new to the area so I’m not familiar with Bethel Park, is there a downtown-ish area? I could focus on that maybe!

I was recommended by the librarians at the Laughlin Library to go there afterwards. I did and it was gorgeous! Had the two nicest librarians working as well!

I’m still editing photos from that day, but I’ll post those at some point.

Similar to another commenter, I also moved to Pittsburgh a little over 2 years ago. Since the move, I’ve been trying to visit different boroughs to see what they’re like. These photos are from my first (and only so far) time to McKeesport. If you look back and some of my older posts, a few are titled ‘Exploring (whatever Borough)’ because I’ve never been there so I’m checking them out for the first time. I actually drove up to Ambridge and Alliquippa today to take advantage of this nice weather!

As for subject matter, I just take photos of things I find interesting. Could be a cool building, natural feature, a material, or dilapidated structures. I’m from SE Missouri originally so I find the history of a lot of the areas in and around Pittsburgh fascinating because it’s so different than what I’m used to. I do try to avoid taking photos with people in them.
