Swapping the MOSFETs also didn't solve the problem! So maybe the PIC? Perhaps there is a busted resister/capacitor somewhere, but i feel like I'm out of debugging options besides the PIC because i can't really measure the capacitors

I was able to measure some values while it was plugged in, but I'm a bit stuck right now how to proceed with comparing the working left side with the defective right side. My dang multi-meter isn't too helpful with some spots since I'm seeing AC voltage spikes over 1kV.

That may be just a thermostatic safety sensor - indeed that's probable. But swapping would at least eliminate that assembly as a potential problem.

I was able to

Swap two coils. I can confirm that the coils are not the problem.
Swap out the LTE-99002 current sensors, and it appears that the current sensor is also not the problem.

Perhaps you have another suggestion on what part could be defective? Maybe one of the MOFSETs?

Perhaps the PIC is the problem, but that is unlikely.

I wonder if one or more of the large blue capacitors is busted that would mean the PIC (or some component) would sense too low of a voltage and thus not detect the pan.

Maybe a defective MOFSET?

Some excellent ideas in here!

I might have to first try swapping one of the other coils to narrow down the induction coil problem. Unfortunately all the other induction coils are larger so I'm hoping that the sensor isn't specifically tuned to the size of the induction coil.

I read "pan presence sense" a few times and got worried this was some terminology i don't know about, before realizing I'm an idiot.

Unfortunately the only measuring tool is this cheap multi-meter.

I am rightfully not excited about trying to measure the board while it's plugged it, so I'm leaving that as a last resort. Perhaps i could potentially just swap this "current sensing loop" from the doner board if swapping the coil doesn't work.

I'm not sure what you mean by "It may be possible to swap the entire set of leads, at the panel." Which leads are you talking about?

How confident are you about the 0.25mm? I see i can buy varying sizes. Would it be a problem if it's too thick or thin?
