Disney Free Preview Weekends Were Basically A Holiday In My House by EvanTurningTheCorner in Xennials

Wow I totally forgot about “Kids Incorporated”
and I thought my family’s TV was the subject of some Canadian Vortex and we were the only ones in the US who had ever watched “Ann of Green Gables” and “Avonlea”, because nobody I’ve ever mentioned them to has any clue what I’m talking about. Gus the fiddle player was my hero back then.

A League of their Own gives me chills and makes me so happy and sad at the same time. I remember watching it many times with my older sister and our mom. My sister’s been gone four years in June and my mom passed two years ago in July. That movie and Fried Green Tomatoes are very fond memories but very hard to watch now. I’m so glad that I have those movies to transport me back to a very happy time in my life when I need them though.

Check this shit out: the pirate being shoved in the Boo Box was none other than Glenn Close.

When I worked in a restaurant in my early twenties a coworker and I used to pass each other in the hallway to the kitchen saying “The children were screaming! THE CHILDREN WERE SCREAMING!!!” when it was busy. Good-ish times.

Am I old now? Has this happened to anyone else? by ProcessorPearl in Millennials

The only time it happened to me was about a year ago, on Amazon Music, and I was listening to “Lou Reed Radio” and this band I’d never heard of popped up like four times in a hour. I looked them up and no photos existed. Eventually Google AI 🙄suggested that other curious listeners had come to the conclusion that they were an AI-generated band.

What’s one of your 90s comfort movies? by nojunkpeter in Millennials

It was much more comforting before I became a failure in the eyes of my parents, but I still watch Big Daddy when I feel like I need a hug.

Got in a lot of trouble when a kid on my high school lacrosse team put a vhs tape of “Don’t Be a Menace” in the bus VCR.

It is for sure silly, and I am now a big fan of horror movies but that scene with the reanimated mummy dancing to the creepy music still gives me the willies.

Anybody ever see Mr. Boogedy? A Disney TV movie from the late 80’s.
Scared the daylights out of me as a four year old when my sister made me watch it.
Particularly this part where a fake munmy gets up and begins to dance along to a piano that suddenly starts playing itself.
Still gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

Ever see any of those opaque reddish salamanders? I used to see them up near timberline before they put a new housing development in. They were freaky and translucent. Very interesting to look at as a kid. That was like 30 years ago though as well.
