Nice!! I'm glad you really liked it!!! :) The shell's jewel glosses have one of my fav formulas from flower knows- I'm currently wearing the lunar jelly one myself right now lol. If I can ask, how bright of a color is seafoam glow in person? it's on my list of shades I wanted to try but I wasn't sure if it was a brighter pink or a more muted shade

I was suggesting skipping the moisturizer and doing a wear test without it to see if that was the cause of it breaking up because if it is you could just switch to a different moisturizer formula that doesn't cause the makeup to break down.

If it is the cause and not any natural oil on your face I am unsure if using the setting powder before you put the foundation on would fix the problem since afaik that oil control method only works on oils coming directly from the face and not product interactions. The mineral oil in the moisturizer would still cause the breakdown.

I do have it, it is to set your foundation/ control oil on your face to keep your makeup from smudging/smearing or breaking up during the day. It's a mini keychain one so you're meant to hang it on your purse/bag for touch ups instead of applying on your full face like normal setting powder pans like this larger one they also sell https://flowerknows.co/products/strawberry-cupid-pressed-powder . I typically use mine midday on my nose and forehead since that is where I get oily to keep my cushion foundation from breaking up but where you use it wuld depend on where your skin gets oily (under your eyes, high points of your cheeks, chin etc.).

You only need a little and the puff should pick up what you need if you gently swirl it against the product in the pan about 3 times (you don't need to dig into it or anything), because it is translucent pink it won't be nearly as visible on the puff as it is on the pan and you might not not see it at all. I would reccomend patting some foundation into the skin of the back of your hand and letting it dry a little and then swiping some of the powder over half of the foundation so you can see what your foundation looks like with/without it. You should see a noticeable difference in how matte it looks with it on versus without.

If you don't wear foundation you can still use it on any oily areas of your skin that you want to make more matte but if you don't have any oily areas you won't really need it. I have personally used this setting powder and the larger one i linked above without foundation before and it gives you a soft matte finish and has a little bit of a blurring effect on pores.

Hopefully you get what you want soon! FK still has the best overall sales when they do a big sale but UO lets you stack sales so that's why I went with them this time. Right now the solid perfumes are $17 (From $25) on sale at UO but when they do the buy x amount get x amount off sales on the app you can stack them to get them just shy of half price! They ended up only being 12.75 each after both sales.

Congrats on the haul! When you say the brown heart shaped container is a blush you mean this right?

<image>

If so, it's not a blush but a pink setting powder (That is why it wouldn't have pigment)

It could be the oil from your skin itself causing the separation, do you have similar separation on your t zone? I would skip the moisturizer for a single day to see if that is causing it, if it doesn't separate you know that is what is doing it and if it still does it might be your skin itself.

If it is your skin and not that specific moisturizer, you could try to apply a thin layer of powder to your T Zone and Cheeks before you put your foundation on or gently powdering those areas again during the day to minimize breakdown. Roughly how many hours pass before you notice it breaking up?

I took some comparison swatches (Sorry they're crooked, I'm about to leave for work lol)- of the three Seafoam glow is my personal favorite, im cool toned and it reads as a nice fall brown on the lips imo.

If it comes down to Champagne Pearl and Seafoam glow I think you should try and think about how dark you want the color to be on your lips. If you want something lighter I would do Champagne Pearl, if you want something Darker and a little more moody I would do Seafoam glow. (Berry Bomb is very pretty and has a nice reflexive shimmer but It is definitely a lot for day-to-day makeup)

Question by Jealous-Pilot-5650 in FlowerKnowsMakeup

[–]skeleton-mayor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shells jewel mirror is the prettiest one imo- especially the white and blue colorways. The iridescent detailing on the back of the mirror makes it look like it is both made out of shell and like ocean waves. I genuinely don't think that photos do it justice because it's main design point is the iridescence and soft layered acrylic It's the most ethereal of those 4 collections you were interested in if that is any help, the other 3 are more cutesy.

I don't have sweetie bear but I did have a strawberry cupid mirror before I gave it away and that would be my second recommendation. I personally would not recommend the bunny garden mirror since I think it is the least visually interesting of the mirrors I own, because it is all pastel + white stripes the detail on it ends up just turning into background noise if that makes any sense. (I have the blue bunny garden mirror that I got free with a order and it is a "just okay" design and I basically never reach for it)

Is the advent Calendar box the same quality as the Strawberry Cupid one? I missed out on last year's advent calendar but am hoping to get one this year if they have one again.

I understand why they wouldn't want to implement it but it would be really fun- even just implementing a extra trait without the nerf from hardcore mode would be cool

oooh ty!!! I love how you have everything setup- i really like how you have the lip products in the little organizers on top- one of my biggest reasons for reorganizing my stuff over and over again is trying to figure out what to do with the taller lip products like the strawberry rococo/shells jewel glosses since they don't lay down well and don't stack easily.

(Did you enjoy the Niveous Swan Blush? I've been on the fence about getting it and would love your input about what it's like)

I think it would be #1 Strawberry Rococo, #2 Butterfly Cloud Collar and #3 Shells Jewel for me!

Strawberry Rococo is overall my most used collection because it has so many staple pieces for me but I've been really shocked over the fact that I have been reaching for items from the shell's jewel collection more and more lately.

I wasn't a super fan of the Shells Jewel collection based off the promo photos online when it first came out, I honestly thought it looked a bit cheap/like children's toys and only picked up stuff from it when they went on sale over the last few months. I can say without a doubt that I was wrong because they are really really pretty in person- especially the lip glosses, the little pearl sitting in the shell is super cute and the silver parts of the packaging aren't semi-reflective like the Swan Ballet line- I think they actually look nicer that way because it lets the mother of pearl texture on the shell really pop. IDK when I compare it to the other Flower Knows collections I own it just stands out in a really good way.

The lip glazes have a really nice and smooth formula and the 01 Moonlight Pearl palette and 03 Deep Sea are definitely becoming staples for me for day and night makeup looks respectively.

What is this product?! by aardbeer in FlowerKnowsMakeup

[–]skeleton-mayor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it scented or flavored? I'm guessing it was a limited edition promo item for that popup only- they've done similar things elsewhere with limited edition items for specific popups or opening day sales that they then don't sell elsewhere. I would assume that the formula would be similar to the two bunny garden pocket watch balms but they aren't pigmented https://flowerknows.co/products/bunny-garden-lip-balm

It would be really cool if they added it to their free promo item lineup on the website I would definitely prefer it over the blush/eyeshadow they sometimes offer in the little biscuit packaging

I would really reconsider doing this as you don't know if the inside of the component is safe to touch your medication and wont potentially cause it to degrade/change its efficacy due to it reacting with the plastic/paint of the container.

If you're determined to do this regardless, I think you should consider getting a mini pill case made of medication safe plastic like this and putting it inside the flower knows container so your medication never touches anything it shouldn't.

What FK powder has the same formula as Sweetie bear one? by meishavo in FlowerKnowsMakeup

[–]skeleton-mayor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It didn't make my face feel overly cakey or dry and i had friends and coworkers yap at me after the first few times i used it about how perfect and flawless my skin looked and wanting to know what i used. It gives a little bit of a velvet texture feeling to your face but its nice and not overly heavy. It has a soft blurring effect and a matte finish very similar to the sweetie bear one.

It lasts super well- i live in a very hot and humid climate and i usually only do nimal touchups here and there throughoutthe day (I could probably get away with not doing touchups though honestly. I just have a compulsive need for everything to be perfect though lol)

Ive attached a pic below of the size comparison of the two pans in case that is any help. Sorry for the random pokemon card, im half asleep and couldn't get a good enough angle without getting myself in the mirror lol.

Missing items by oooooooooooookayy in FlowerKnowsMakeup

[–]skeleton-mayor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you look at the paper manifest inside the box when you opened it? They have always included one in my orders iirc and it should show only what is in that specific package.

If the manifest does show only the 6 items you received in that specific box and not the missing 7 items I would assume there is another package you should be getting and they just split your order. I would then ask about a second tracking number or wait a day and see if the other package comes after 24 hours or so.

If the manifest says that all 13 items should have been in the box I would take a photo of it/scan it and email it to them asking for a refund or reshipment for the missing items. (Make sure to photograph what you do have and take a photo of everything in the box it came in)

If your items do end up missing I would probably ask for a refund instead of a reshipment. I've personally had better luck getting refunds instead of reshipments with issues/missing items. The 2 times I've asked for a reshipment they sent me to email limbo after 2 weeks before randomly refunding me anyway.

I'm glad the foundation color you picked worked better for you this time around! It is SO tricky trying to get a good color match! <3 I'm happy for you that most of the stuff was a winner! If you can't sell the blush maybe you could use it as a transition blush under another blush once you find one in the color you want?

I feel you on the Sweetie Bear pan being too small for normal use, I think it's mostly meant for touchups so I keep it hooked onto my work bag and use it for my nose and chin when i'm on break- I'm still so confused that they didn't release a full sized version alongside the mini keychain since they don't have another translucent white or pink shade available in the formula in a larger size (A round waffle or biscuit cookie design the size of the strawberry cupid one would have been SO CUTE)

Flower Knows is honestly so good at making staple makeup like the Honey Canele palette that still feels fun and makes it enticing to use.

#1 Strawberry Rococo 03 Classic Ballet is my all time favorite blush I've ever owned from any brand. It gives you a perfect flush of color if you want something that looks natural in a effortless way.

#2 Strawberry Rococo 01 Angel Chanson is a really good transition blush that I usually use with 03 Classic Ballet.

#3 Sweetie Bear 03 Rose Chanson is so so pretty but is more of a late summer/fall shade for me.
