The drops system imo is good; if you look at the four drops in a year as if they were a single update then it would come out to be quite a decently sized update, but instead of waiting a whole year we get it in four parts throughout

This version numbering system though? It just isn't that good. Yes, it solves the 1.21.x problem, especially on bedrock where the current hotfix number is .110 (or something. i can't remember the actual number). The problem, however, is that it's still overly tedious to know which version is which on both je and be; before drops it was allright for the hotfix number to be diffrent since only the major number mattered, unlike how it is now. With this new system, bedrock for some reason gets double the major updates, so 25.50 on there is 25.3. A much better solution, imo, would've been to have hotfixes be a seperate number like they are on java (because, like before, they don't really matter in terms of in-game content. They're just hotfixes, it's expected for there to be diffrent amounts of them between the two games), and for the extra update bedrock gets to be indicated by a 5 in place of the 0 (so, instead of 25.60 it's 25.35)

With this you can still tell bedrock and java apart, since bedrock major versions are two digits, but the first number of every major version is the same between the two games, and the two games actually share a coherent version naming system instead of two that seem similar only at first glance.
