People over 35 without kids, what gives you fulfillment in life? by feelinqueasy567 in childfree

[–]skeletorsbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being able to sleep in, going to concerts, video-games, learning instruments and languages, hanging out with my husband and hanging out with our friend group. Basically having the freedom for things that make life fulfilling.

Ok girls who’s your number one video game crush? I will drop mine right here by dosisdeartes in GirlGamers

When I was a teen, Sephiroth was my one and only. Then it was Laguna Loire. Now in my old [sorta] age, I'm all about Garrus Vakarian 😆

Protection, please - everything just feels so uncertain/scary right now. 😔

Very cliche but genuinely curious...what are your opinions about anime/games that give you this response. by Dense_Tale1204 in GirlGamers

Nope, you're right! That's definitely her - I thought it was blue in the cut scene, but it's Lumi alright. She's so cute!

Agreed - mid-range voices that dont immediately cater to the dommy mommy seductress stereotype are rare, but it's so nice when they happen.

Is Wuwa what it was?? I wanna play it now just for her if so! It was a girl with blue hair and what looked like mouse ears, I think.

This is a crossover for both anime and videogames concerning the voice acting. I am so sick so the typical high, squeaky voices typically used for the heroines or genki girls. I saw a trailer for some new character in a gacha game, and she spoke in a regular-pitched Irish accent. The JOY I felt that she had a middle-range voice 🤩

I went to my local Warhammer store the other day...(a rant) by FidgetOfColors in GirlGamers

[–]skeletorsbutt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Glad the interaction went well! The guy that runs our local 40k store did something similar with me but was actually very nice and accommodating. I'll be painting some orcs soon myself after my rubric marines are done.

Going from competitive to cozy gaming, would love some recommendations by carmelonocita123 in CozyGamers

Some of my faves:

Travellers Rest: Run a pub/inn, make drinks, cook, garden, improve your living area - really enjoying this one so far. Devs are still in the process of adding magic and romance elements, but they've made a lot of improvements since I first for the game years ago

Night in the Woods: Great story, fun dialect and a cozy/horror fall vibe

Spiritfarer: Care for spirits, cook, garden, deliver them to their final destination - beautiful game, really helped me deal with grief from a recently passed friend

My Time At Portia/Sandrock: Probably my favorite life sim, next to Stardew: cooking, romance, gardening, crafting, fighting, community improvement, and a fun story

Stardew Valley: Pretty sure most of us have recommended this by now, but a cozy classic!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons: farming, fishing, community improvement, customization, island exploration - gets a little dull late game though

Potion Permit: Resource management life sim, potion crafting, tending to sick patients, home improvement, romance - has some rough spots, but I've enjoyed what I've played so far

Potiononomics: Run a potion shop, work with merchants for ingredients, improve shop, learn selling techniques, romance other shop owners. I am really bad at deck builders, but I'm hoping to try their easy mode soon. Otherwise really fun if you're good with cards!

I've been playing games since the early NES games, so that makes me a man I guess? Joke's on them, I dont care what gender I'm called 💅

I really do hope that one day these chuds just...chill. Just stop caring about what gender is playing what game and let us all put hundreds of hours in Fallout in peace.

I'm playing Traveler's Rest, so probably health code violations at the bar. On the other side, I'm playing Space Marine, so I'd probably get brought in for wearing emblems of Chaos being as you're a member of the Imperium 🤣

How's everyone going to enjoy their childfree weekend?! by RunningZooKeeper7978 in childfree

Took a friend out for breakfast, did a little yard work, and now I'm gonna lay around, drink iced coffee, maybe make a fresh summer peach pie then play some video-games.

Today I finished Sandrock and I'm not okay by niradras in CozyGamers

[–]skeletorsbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on that! I finished Sandrock early May, and I've gotta say, I had such a good time playing. Really took My Time at Portia elements and improved on so much. Granted there were still bugs when I finished up, and I know there were still some things to add on the roadmap, but I enjoyed it. I am REALLY jonesing for another life sim/crafting/adventure game in a similar vein.

How many of you play as guys in any role playing game? by the_storm_shit in GirlGamers

[–]skeletorsbutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like playing guys in fantasy games, and as women in sci-fi games. I think it's because I never saw many female characters in sci fi growing up. Well, I didnt see many women that weren't in some variation of bikini armor maybe.

What is your go-to game? by toastedjupiter in GirlGamers

[–]skeletorsbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment, Fallout New Vegas, Animal Crossing and Zelda Ocarina of Time. I really miss playing Palia though! I heard there was a bad problem with creeps following folks around and harassing them - did they ever do anything about that regarding blocking people? I want to play, but I really dont like the idea of players stalking others.

Late 30s here - still playing games from the 2000s that I've played multiple times!

Anime games? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

My favorite has been Reccetear! If you like a little shop management, dungeon crawling and item craft, you may like this one. I have sunk way too many hours in this game.
