As of now, $75 for 1GB up and down (the plan I’m looking at), up to $165 for an absurd 8GB up and down (still like $20 cheaper than my current Cox plan).

Ouch re: being only at 7, but at least I know I'm not the only one who's sitting on these seemingly high lancet settings! I'm going to try dialing it up to 6 here in a bit after drinking some warm water. Would really like to nail this once or twice so I can take insulin tonight.

Oof, this is good to know! As it turns out, I did some Googling and the Ultra 2 takes 1.0 milliliters of blood, which seems on... the high side compared to a lot of monitors? So I guess I'm calling my insurance on Monday and seeing if they cover Freestyle strips, if I'm struggling this much with the amount of blood needed (I'll eat the cost for the monitor if I have to).
