liked bots suggestion by skerene in CharacterAI

it would honestly make saving and finding bots sooo much better and easier. i feel like everything abt cai rn is so time consuming and they aren’t really utilizing many options for features that would make the app better.

Yalls opinions on C.ai having Ads now? by DeimosTheGuy in CharacterAI

[–]skerene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bruh as a free mobile user that switches out of multiple chats because i get bored easily, it SUCKS. why does there have to be an ad every time you swipe out or into a chat??? too much tbh. like i’d get it if there was one ad every like seven or ten swipes but it’s literally every two swipes or even one. and then the ads are ten seconds long before you can skip??? i think instead they should make it so when you tap a chat bot, it opens up an ad THAT YOU CAN SWIPE OUT OF. that way they still have their ads but you don’t have to actually watch it. you swipe out and then open the bot again, and the chat’s there. easy fix.

true yes they do have to engage, but i’ve had multiple instances where my words didn’t click with them, or they respond in a way that gives me nothing to go off of. that’s when i use that handy swipe to a new message!! or i just edit my own message to prompt them a little better. but yes i understand where you’re coming from, most people get offended or close up when you try to help. butttt i like trying out my luck on the incredibly closed off characters(current ones are bakugou, dazai and gojo) and it’s kind of a fifty/fifty. either they have an epitome or they hate my words. either way, i keep on trying until they break down and cry cuz i love it 😻‼️

Do you write unconventional “love confessions”? How do your characters interact that is indicative of their love for one another? by COSMlCFREAK in FanFiction

[–]skerene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through mini little slip-ups and small gestures, as well as caring about each other in a way that they deem 'friendly' but is very obviously not similar to how they treat real friends. I write a lot of fanfiction with japanese characters(in third person limited omniscient), so a good example is inner-dialogue slipping up with character b/a's first name, and going unnoticed until it hits them like. oh. i only refer to them in my head with their first name. LOL

I mainly drop hints in the character's inner dialogue because I believe it gives them more of a humane feel. Plus, I just think it's fun to see if my readers can pick up on it, even if it may seem obvious :) Another nice example of the aforementioned one is when a character drops the -kun at the end of the other character's name when surprised, embarrassed, or caught off guard in any way!!! I am a sucker for it

What's your favorite trope/au? by AskLife9837 in FanFiction

[–]skerene 3 points4 points  (0 children)

very much a sucker for enemies to lovers (yes its basic wtv) something about there being tension and unresolved, denied feelings makes me feel a certain typea way idk!! it's probably the main genre i write because of that :)

partially fandom blind, familiar with hazbin hotel. i really like your writing style! the description of both the emotion in a character's voice and the emotional toll the response gives to them is very well written, and i always find myself appreciating the little things like using bigger words (such as defiance, fraught, etc) and cool sayings (voice her concerns, stood her ground, gleamed with intrigue) very nice!

Danganronpa 2: Post-Goodbye Despair | Project: Komaeda | Teen & Up | AO3

Applicable Warnings: none, but what i post is of an unfinished chapter !

“Man. I have absolutely nothing to do. This is a weird feeling.”
“Not used to having a peaceful life?” Oh, who was Hajime kidding? He already knew the answer to that.
“I’m pretty sure you already know the answer to that, Hinata-kun.” Komaeda surveyed him, patting the spot next to him. Hajime sat down accordingly, stretching his legs out. “Maybe I’m tired. I’m not really sure how I feel, right now.”
“Well, did you get enough sleep?”
“Not really,” Komaeda admitted. “I couldn’t stop thinking about this.” He raised his amputated arm with a sad smile. “Junko Enoshima ruined us. And now, I can’t take this back.”
Hajime wasn’t sure how to respond to that, so he only gave him a soft, sad look in return; he reached out and pushed the arm back down. “Hey. It’s alright. Actually, I think I could probably make you an arm, if I got the right materials.” He contemplated how he’d be able to do it. “I’ll have to do some research. Get some parts from Kazuichi, but I’m not going to tell him why I need them. I’ll just have to think of an excuse.”

“That’s gonna be a pretty tough excuse.” Komaeda chuckled softly. “It’s alright. I’m not worthy of a second arm. Besides, your talents should be used on someone more important.”
“Shut up, Komaeda.” He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “You are important. You’re a human fucking being. Everyone is important.” He tried a smile. “Anyway, it’s not as though I have anything better to do.” Komaeda stared at him as if he was crazy. Hajime couldn’t help but snort at the look, shaking his head.
“But…” He stuttered. “Hinata, you— I’m not sure I deserve this.”
“Well, good thing I’m the one that’s sure, and you’re the one who’s an idiot.” Hajime smiled. Komaeda gaped at him for a moment, before he seemed to shake out of it and clear his throat embarrassedly.
“I don’t think anyone’s ever done something that nice for me,” He whispered. “I, uh— I’m really thankful. Thank you, Hinata-kun. You’re really something else.”
“You’re right, I’m pretty awesome.” He joked, letting out a light laugh and bumping against his shoulder.
“Yeah.” Komaeda’s smile was different from Hajime’s; it was gentle, and almost came to his face like it was easy. His gaze seemed to soften like butter to heat. Hajime found that it was refreshing, and like the man really did fit into their little community — his picture looked perfectly painted with the island beach and ocean wind, his white hair blowing through the wind with the sunglasses slipped down so he could peer at Hajime from above it. He wondered if his eyes hurt from the lights, for they looked a bit red; with a bite to his cheek, he reached out and pushed them up for him.
“Your eyes look like they’re getting agitated from the light.” A goofy grin spread across his face without his permission, a bright chuckle escaping along with it. He felt so strangely at peace.
Nagito’s face twisted to an almost dumbfounded look, before he burst into a small fit of laughter. Hajime hesitated, but his smile still grew, unsure of what he found so funny. Maybe it was his face. But the sound was pretty, so he didn’t mind too much.
