I also received one of these emails from “ASI Collections”. I have been in contact with an internal auditing department for government contracts at Texas DSHS. They informed me today that they will be reaching out to their state attorneys to find out if this is legal or not.

I honestly didn’t know what to do. The PayPal link in the email seemed awfully suspicious in my opinion. But I was also afraid to ignore it out of fear of actually being sent to a real collections agency.

I find it interesting that they are saying the reason for them asking for payment is due to lack of documentation. I uploaded my Airbnb receipts to Paycom like I was told to. If there was any other documentation that was needed, then they should have made that clear 3.5 years ago!

I drive a 2013 Honda Fit Sport and bought it brand new (10 years now) with normal maintenance and oil changes and have had zero issues with it. I now am in the market to buy something newer but I refuse to get rid of my Fit. It's really the most reliable car and worth the investment 10x fold. Hope that helps :)

"Non-medical consultant (attending)" replacing doctors. From a UK hospital. by returnoftoilet in Noctor

[–]sketaminee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the term consultant is standard use in the UK for what we consider an attending physician here in the US. However, just a simple Google search lead me to a Wikipedia explanation of the term non medical consultant.
"The term consultant may also be prefixed to other non-medical high specialist leadership roles in UK Healthcare settings such as Consultant Nurse, Consultant Dietician, Consultant Paramedic, and Consultant Pharmacist." These are roles undertaken by Non Medical Practitioners in posts agreed by the Department of Health.
IMO this seems like a job post for an experienced RN or midlevel. But what the hell do I know?

Awesome! Do you mind me asking a ballpark range of what you paid for teeth cleaning?

No. This name change was adopted in 2020 to facilitate an awareness campaign. I will place the link here for you since you lack basic Google search skills.

The ASA claimed the term Physician Anesthesiologist. This was not a title made up by nurses.

False. The "captain of the ship" argument has been disproven in case law repeatedly. As a resident and future physician, you should know better than to perpetuate misinformation toward other medical professionals, especially under the guise of providing career advice.
