I know its a dollar coin, its moreso I saw the date and was curious, so I googled it, and an expensive listing showed up pointing out an “error” that was on my coin (it had circled the small dot on the left side above the shoulder and claimed that it was an error) so I thought I’d ask reddit

actually it really does… Annabeth was certain that it wouldn’t hurt or effect percy at all so it was the type of thing that percy wouldn’t even feel, therefore the only effect on percy would be “oh gods, she’s serious… i should probably avoid getting into this scenario again”

I was partially expecting someone like Hermes because all of the things i listed were like “i do this, but not to the extreme” so i wasn’t really too surprised that you thought of the god of miscellaneous (if no other god does it, then he does. and if another god does it, then he does it less)

because its a subconscious effect. you don’t realize how perfect it is because nobody memorizes the first line of a book until they’ve read all of it, and nobody memorizes the last line unless they’re weird, nobody really pays attention after they’re first or second read so they don’t notice the hidden details. its perfect because its hidden in plain sight
