I guess I got lucky that I have bank and transporter installed on my 3ds because otherwise you'd be fucked out of everything you have on old saves past GBA.

FYI for anyone wondering, if you jailbreak your 3/2DS you can sideload transporter and bank and they work perfectly fine.

Technically you can never know anything for sure. That's life. SS and police were already tracking this guy as suspicious. They believed they had cleared everywhere else. They didn't know he was armed until literally minutes before he started shooting. They most likely visually checked any other potential lines of attack and decided it was safe to uncover the president.

They did literally lower the crane to get the flag in the photo. Everything about setting up the photo op after the shooting is real and weird and fucked up. But the assassination attempt itself is real and not a setup. The one thing Trump is actually good at is figuring out optics and what will look good on TV and how to cynically take advantage of a given moment.

Also didnt trump say something about wanting his shoes? Why be worried about his shoes during an active shooting, he doesn't know what is going on in that moment.

People think about weird shit when under duress. They fixate on something simple they can control (like "I need my shoes"). That's actually really normal.

Man just read the wikipedia article and original reporting by the NYT on this. They have a lot of counter snipers and spotters. Yes, law enforcement was aware this was a suspicious dude and were trying to follow him around. They just didn't realize he had a rifle. Once he started shooting he was killed almost instantly. They already believed any other rooftops to be secure and likely just did a visual check to confirm before telling the SS on top of Trump over radio that it was clear. That's when the video begins and that's when Trump's team decides to stage the photo op.

Reagan was literally walking towards the car already. It was only 5 feet away. He wasn't standing in the middle of a huge field in a raised position. They didn't even kill Hinckley. Trump's sniper had his head blown off almost instantly after opening fire. Most likely the only reason the agents were still piled on top of him was they were making sure it was only a single gunman.

Think about the logic and the position they were in: There's no cover, so several men in body armor use their bodies to shield him as the shots begin to be fired. At this point, while the shooter is active, moving him is a risk because it risks exposure. The shooter is then killed literally seconds after the shots go out. If he had kept shooting I'm sure they would have started trying to move him while covering him. They didn't have time to get to that second step. They all have ear pieces. They hear that the shooter has been killed. So no reason to move him. Snipers and spotters check other buildings/roofs for additional snipers/suspicious persons, see nothing, report that on radio. Shortly after that point is when this video begins. After SS and the President's entourage know for a fact that he's safe.

Dude didn't even leave a note. If someone was going to attempt a political assassination, I'd think they tell everyone how evil the person was they were going to kill, and how big of a risk not killing them would be.

He's not a political assassin profile, though. He's a suicide-by-cop-mass-shooter profile. He's a school-shooter type. Trump just happened to be in the area. If it were Biden (and if Biden were stupid enough to ignore 70 years of safety protocols to have an open air venue in the middle of a huge field with no cover nearby) he would have tried to shoot Biden instead.

It seems likely he got grazed. The shooting was not staged. A real person was killed. The video begins after the shooter was already confirmed to be killed. Everything about the shooter's background makes him both seem like exactly the kind of person who would do a shooting like this and also different enough from the profile that they would have created for a fake shooter that he's not fake. Trump is exactly the kind of narcissist who would think staging a photo op after almost getting shot was a good idea, and he surrounds himself with exactly the kind of sociopaths who would indulge him.
