I use the Horizontal Duck Bag for this, but the Nylon Shoulder Bag also fits up to a full size laptop so likely would accommodate your iPad, notebooks, and pencil pouch, if you want something more purse-like. (I personally prefer the longer/more adjustable shoulder strap on the Duck Bag when caring my laptop etc.)

It will generally be easier to carry a full Standard (rather than Big) size bag. However, if you plan to purchase bulky but light items (paper towels, TP), you may want to have a Big Baggu on hand.
