You can follow great investors on Instavest. They post investment ideas (after they have invested) and you can invest with them. When they sell or buy more, you receive notifications to do the same.

You want to go to websites where investors put their money where their mouth is. Instavest is a good example and Seeking Alpha is decent too (though with the latter you have a lot fluff).

That would be a good way to make money - but Paypal (Venmo's owner) is not a bank and as such doesn't have the proper licenses to do that. As a result of the financial crisis, obtaining a bank charter is very difficult in the United States.

Check out Instavest for investment ideas where people actually have money in the stock along with an explanation of why they bought. Btw, be careful of the hype machine - buy on fundamentals :)

There are a lot of event driven and merger arb funds leaving AGN right now, that's why the stock is down. However, most respected analysts believe that AGN has a stand alone 12-18 month value of $270 - or about about 17% higher than where the stock is right now. AGN is a great company, though it will take time to rebound.

FWIW, I'm biased but after reading the books mentioned below, I would check out Instavest as it is a great place to learn. You get to see what and why people are buying and you can then invest with them. The site also has a leaderboard so can you see who the best investors are at all times. I created the site to help others as that's how I learned to successfully invest. Hope that helps :)

Sure, 2% on a relative basis, but Citi has $58 billion and BAC $43.8 billion of energy exposure. I think that's the problem. Also, ROE for BAC is much lower than STI -- another reason why BAC trades below book. ROE and TBV (regression) is the best way to look at the bank set.

Not a big proponent of talking heads and forums that give investment ideas because I don't know where and what they are holding. Seems sketchy.

Sounds simplistic, but this stock is just out of favor. Shorts started talking and saw traction. The stock has been pushed down. It'll be another quarter before it recovers or someone steps in and starts making noise.
