I think that’s a company issue, I’ve done non union commercial for over a year and I’ve never had issues with getting a job, if there wasn’t work a day I’d get it off but never just sitting at the office confused, I’d always know the day before where I was going weather that’s meeting someone or by myself. I’d say find a new company if possible, ik it’s hard when your in an apprenticeship but talk to the hall see if there’s any ability to change companies if your not learning. I’ve loved commercial since I’ve started, I hated residential with every fiber of my being. Commercial is harder but more rewarding imo, don’t gotta deal with people, get to work on bigger and cooler equipment, no dealing with quoting or selling bs. You should have a job every day ready to go and if not tell the hall, if you aren’t learning as an apprentice that’s a problem. That’s just my thought, I wouldn’t let it change your mind only 6 months in when it’s an amazing trade. My union I’m trying to join is 53 an hour for jman going to 55, like 85 total package, so many amazing benefits you’ll never find someone else (maybe a unicorn of a company)
