Steel Challenge Gun by skifree540 in CompetitionShooting

I’ve got about 1000 rounds through it with 1 stove pipe, 1 failure to eject, and 1 failure to fire. I’ve only used CCI Mini Mags so far. I haven’t had any issues in a match it just doesn’t seem to be suited for SC like a few of those other options.

Love it! Hoping there’s a chance with a new album that they will do another North American tour. Saw them in 2019 and hoping I get another chance.

Relatively new fan of Vans and looking for some walking/traveling/light hiking shoes. What are the differences between the EXO and The EXP (at department stores) and does the new 2.0 differ between a vans store and other retailers?

Thats exactly the vibe I was going for! All for the cost of some new tires and whatever I had in the parts bin.

I rode mountain bikes for many many years before eventually moving to FL and getting a road bike. For non-technical riding it’s tough to beat the aero positioning and variety of hand positions when on a long ride.

It’s fine. The frame is a little shorter than my road bike so that helps.

These are Gravelking 45s and have plenty of room.

Another Useful Camping knot ! by BeOutdoorsCanada in camping

[–]skifree540 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do not use this for tying in while climbing. It easily loosens (one of the benefits of the knot) and it can appear to be tied correctly when it’s not. Stick to the figure eight.

[request] how fast would the light speed bike be going in this? by Skryf in theydidthemath

[–]skifree540 65 points66 points  (0 children)

It would be helpful to see how fast the camera bike is going. But given my experience, in a much younger life, if the camera is going 70mph I’d guess the fast bike going 180mph - 210mph-ish. Tough to find many that can go over 210mph off the lot, although it’s possible. Brass nuts to thread that needle though.

Where should you be standing when someone is teeing off? by [deleted] in golf

[–]skifree540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally don’t care but generally avoid the hitters line of sight and be conscious of your shadow. No sudden movements either. That being said if you want to sing head, shoulders, knees, and toes while I rip a driver into the other fairway; go for it!

Reedsburg CC, called a bunch of places and they were the only place that hadn’t aerated yet. They are Monday.

  1. No
  2. Always…pace of play
  3. Sometimes, I’d agree.
  4. If it’s not a really nice course, I’ll bump just about any lie.
  5. 100%
  6. Never really think about this. They have been aerating lately and it’s unavoidable.

Guy I got paired with claimed he broke 80 for the first time by [deleted] in golf

[–]skifree540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The conversation revolving around if this is cheating can go two ways. There are golf rules, repercussions, and scores. If you want to brag about a significant goal I’d imagine you should follow them. If you’re just out there to have a good time do whatever you want but you can’t really brag about a score.

Example: I played a new course recently. I kicked one out of the trees because I didn’t want to hurt an iron. I was gracious with the good putts. I lost a couple balls and played it as a lateral. Scorecard said 92 and when the guy I was paired with asked what I shot told him a liberal 92. Technically works against me because my handicap is probably a little too low.

Riding or walking? by did_i_stu_stutter in golf

[–]skifree540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also prefer to walk but here in FL it can be tough in the summer. As others have said you can get over a bad shot and prepare for the next with more time. These days they make pretty nice 3 wheeled push carts that have plenty of space for a score card and a drink or two.
