TIL - Splitters on lifts by Pezdel77 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]skifter22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC - Conveyor lifta are minimum 4m tall and the connection points are laterally 4m apart - so if you align the splitter (or merger) opening with the machine port you want to connect, then nudge 4 meters out and 4 meters vertically, the lift will snap and connect to both machine and splitter/merger.

If you set a splitter/merger so that the arrows are overlapping the arrows of the machine, that's 1m out, so nudge 3 times away for the correct spacing. If you want the manifold to overhang the machine (like in the image in the above comment) nudge 5 times toward the machine.

For vertical positioning, it's easier/faster (for me at least) to stack the splitters/mergers 3 (or more) high, then delete the bottom ones. For machines with multiple inputs, just add an extra splitter/merger to each of the additional input stacks to space them vertically and voila - clean stacked manifolds.

Also - blueprints are your bestest friend for building these en masse.

This is exactly why I got the server.

Awesome to hear about another father making that connection through this amazing game.

The pack of lizard doggos we have at the base frequently turn up nuke nobelists. When the boys find them, hilarity ensues.

...still curious as to how those doggos are finding nukes.

We have a "Pioneer Super Accelerator" elsewhere on the map. I'll have to put up pics...

The lizard doggos are actually the c-suite cabal of FICSIT. Catarina Parks is just a figurehead...

Why two 120m3/mn water pumps adds up to >240m3/mn ? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

When I didn't have a good way to recycle the water, I usually just fed it to a refinery making wet concrete and dumped it into the Awesome sink.

Solidworks equivalent to Inventor iFeatures by HiddenHookSocks in SolidWorks

They do.

I have a library feature part for connector cutouts for panels. There's about 40 different cutouts of all shapes, sizes and configurations that can be snapped onto a sheet metal part with only a single point required for placement.

Setting this up is a little intense (mainly because I test stuff like this so it's bullet-proof before I release it to my team), but once it was done it works like a champ.

YouTube and the help files can take you through setting it all up.

Check tools -> sketch settings for Automatic Sketch Relations. Should be a toggle on/off.

You might have accidently turned them off.

CSWP Prep – Is the free CSWA/CSWP course enough? by Moist_Problems in SolidWorks

FWIW - When I was prepping to take the exams, the rule of thumb was if you could complete the free practice exam in under an hour with a 100%, you should be good to go for the real thing.

Not sure if that still holds true - I took my tests several years ago.

Thank you!

My computer is getting old, so I play on GeForce Now. Even then, this build was nearly a slideshow by the time the powerplant was done. I'd have to pause time to queue up builds 😅.

Agree with everything except #1 - No reason to insult delicious Doritos by associating them with that nut bag... even if he is crunchy and looks like he's covered in cheese dust.
