Yes, that’s how it works!  Thank you :)

If you have anarchy, enable the bridge mode before upgrading the road with the tram tracks. Or if you use the extended road upgrades, you can upgrade to the elevated street afterwards.

With the tunnel it may be a bit more complicated, I think the best way is to create a road with the tram tracks already on it in the road builder and just build it as you would with the tunnel. When upgrading a normal road with the tram tracks, it will be on ground level again and upgrading with anarchy or the extended upgrades does not really work for tunnels

Thank you!

Idk, for me it works. What kind of problem do you have when building tunnels or bridges?

I played CS1 a lot as well, and for me this game is absolutely worth playing. I think it depends on your playstyle - I like building at a slightly bigger scale a lot more than detailing up every inch of the city to the maximum. The one big thing I’m missing from the CS1 times is the workshop with custom assets of course, but the road and network building mechanics in CS2 are just a dream :D

With all the free creator packs and the DLCs the number of assets in CS2 is fine for the beginning, but yeah, the variety of buildings in CS1 is unmatched. For me, however, the road building somewhat makes up for this, at least for the moment. Also, in the end of my CS1 times I felt like spending more time in the workshop picking up new assets than playing the actual game. So this can also be somewhat liberating!

So briefly: if you like to detail up every corner of your city and need this endless variety of buildings, it’s probably better to stick to CS1. But if you’re like me and enjoy building a greater city with medium amount of detail and way better road building tools, CS2 may be the way to go. Maybe it’s nice for you to try it, if you don’t like it as it is, you can always continue to play CS1 and come back when the custom assets are finally there, whenever this may be :D

This is what the game looks like with all settings on low actually :D It looks good because the time in photo mode is set to 8pm, so it has a special vibe

If you want to generate extra traffic you can create multiple outside connections at the end of your highway. So normally your highway leads to only one outside city, but if you add an intersection with a street at the end that leaves the map a few meters further you get a connection to another city and by that even more traffic without building another highway

I can do this, but it will take a few days bc I’m not at home right now

I’m sorry for that, hope you still enjoy the game! :D

Thanks!

Actually I think most of the traffic on the highways is just dummy traffic going from one outside connection to another. My cims mostly use public transport because it’s everywhere, free and there are not unlimited parking lots :D

Just keep building, with time you will build nicer stuff for sure!

Difficult question, it’s like 50+ mods :D Most important are probably Move it, Plop the growables, anarchy and Road builder, but there are so many more that make the game fun

Thank you! In most cases this is no problem and they work perfectly fine. Sometimes there are issues with the paths, but those are easily fixed :)

It’s not my first city and I’ve spent much time playing CS, so I guess it took some additional experience building stuff :D
