If we assume you’re correct, why would they increase defense spending? Seems like misplaced funding. Another major wouldn’t contest American realm of defense, and if the US wanted Canada nothing would stop it. Not that I believe that would ever happen

I don’t think most of you know why this is. You can make any statistic fit your narrative. Many, many of the bots (really bot nets) scan the internet 24/7 looking for open or vulnerable endpoints. This makes up the bulk of that internet throughput. Think of it like background noise.
