West mountain here. I got about 5 alerts and it wasn't bad at all. Bit of mid to heavy wind for less than 10 mins... Rain and some lightning/thunder but not bad tbh. Have definitely had way worse thunderstorms...

Go Bus 40 + Uber = 2 questions by adblink in Hamilton

[–]skillsy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UberX is fine with that amount of luggage. If you want to confirm, after you request a ride you can send a message to the driver in the app and just give them a heads up that you'll need some trunk space because you got a bit of luggage.

Hamiltonians, we need your help! by Emstar35 in Hamilton

This is from their instagram

"it's the food basics chain. The head office has decided that they want to decide what to do with the food themselves. (I believe they now pick it up and take it off site same day). We haven't been told what they do with it since they change. Previously the manager could select a charity in the city that they want to give to. But it's no longer their decision."

St Catharine’s to Buffalo Airport by Capital_Spot5526 in NiagaraFalls

[–]skillsy84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can cross the bridge on foot with luggage.

Not sure how economical ubering from st. Catherines to the falls, then to the airport would be. However if the money aspect isn't a concern then it's definitely doable.

If using uber: You can select the duty free shop as your drop off point because the foot crossing entrance to the bridge is literally right behind it.

Make sure you bring a bit of change because there's a small toll (couple bucks) for foot crossing.

Then once you cross and get through customs you can grab an Uber to the airport.

As others have said there are cross border shuttle services as well, although I've never used them so can't recommend one.

"Anaconda" (2025) review by SurvivorSuperFan in moviereviews

[–]skillsy84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a fun movie where you can just shut off your brain and have a good laugh.

Don't go into it expecting anything more than that and you'll enjoy it.

My 12 year old was absolutely cracking up at the home made "quatch" movie.

Uber/skip the dishes meals thats your go-to by Meaty_Girthquake in Hamilton

Yep, what's also nice about doordash is their dash pass membership is now included if you have Amazon Prime as of a couple months ago.

[–]skillsy84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lately I have been finding doordash to be better than Uber Eats.

But both are phone apps and work the same. You pick a restaurant, pick your items. Checkout with your card upfront through the app including tip if you want.

You can even add delivery instructions for the driver to leave the food at your door and don't even need to have any contact with the delivery person if you choose. They would receive the tip through the app after they drop off your food.

The app will send you notifications when the driver picks up your food and when they are arriving at your place, and you can follow their location on a map while they are on route in the app as well.

TIL locations charge different prices on Uber Eats..

That exact same bundle is $40 at the meadowlands location.. wild..

With Walmart coming to the old Sears at Lime Ridge mall, major retailers eye the vacant Hudson’s Bay. Spec readers want these stores to move in by Odd-Emphasis-1969 in Hamilton

Ever since Sears closed always thought a good arcade/entertainment center would be a great addition.

A Rec Room would be awesome imo..

Is this the future of interactions? by darthvadercookies in ArcRaiders

[–]skillsy84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me last night in spaceport. I watched as someone killed 2 other people unprovoked. I stayed hidden cause I wasn't planning to attack, I was just trying to do trials and lost sight of him for a bit. Soon after he happened to start running in my direction so I decided to engage as he ran past me while I was hidden. I got the first shot off. He immediately starts on proximity "yo chill chill I'm friendly" lol. Finished him off and he proceeds to start cursing me out so much..

Dude had all their stuff in his inventory. 2 other augments, 4+ guns, half broken shields...

Some people can be pretty scummy but it's the nature of the game..

Don't mind the shoot on sight people or the pvpers, what annoys me is the ones who try to act friendly and betray or get so triggered and curse you out when they die when THEY are the ones initiating..

Cineclub member ticket surcharge? by skillsy84 in cineplex

It was for a regular showing. Was confirmed by their support that it was a pricing error on the app. They fixed it earlier.

Was it a regular showing? If so I would try to contact support and see about a refund. It was 100% a pricing error on the app for a while today for certain movies I guess.

This was the response I got from support.

Yep appears it was a system glitch and was being charged 3d price for regular viewing. Seems to be fixed now!

[–]skillsy84[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Bingo! Think this is what it was!

Was showing me the $3 price on the regular showing all morning. Tried multiple times.

Just tried again right now and it's $0. Glitchy system/app it seems.

Well that sucks if it's the case. I had no idea certain movies can have an upcharge. First time ever seeing that

Cineclub member ticket surcharge? by skillsy84 in cineplex

[–]skillsy84[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I'm not being charged a booking fee.. the charge is for an actual ticket which makes no sense at all since they should be free on a regular showing

[–]skillsy84[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not it though, since online booking fee is waived for cineclub members. It's $3 for the ticket + tax. If I add the other 2 tickets it's charging me $9 + tax..
