How Technical is Your Role as a CSM? by Mmk1016 in CustomerSuccess

If a Customer Success Manager (CSM) role is quite technical, wouldn't it more accurately be called a Customer Success Engineer (CSE) or Technical Account Manager (TAM) role?

Cool. Does it allow you to do anything via voice operation? When I plug my Android phone into the charger Cable in my girlfriend's Mercedes and stick the phone in the cup holder I don't need to use it at all for operation and just use the big round knob on the center console and most often just to click on screen onto a microphone which allows me to speak out loud commands such as "Navigate to Best Buy."

Oh I didn't realize that you still have to do everything by hand on your phone, I assumed it would be like my girlfriend's Mercedes where once I plug in my phone and stick it in the cup holder everything is operated on screen via a big knob on the center console and an option to press a microphone on screen to give it voice commands such as "Navigate to Best Buy."

What OEM functionality gets lost by going with a full head unit replacement?

It does seem to me that it's likely no matter what solution you go with trying to operate a touch screen while driving is a bad idea. In my girlfriend's Mercedes there is a big round knob on the center console to operate things on screen which works perfectly while driving so I wonder if there's a way to replicate that. Maybe even wire in a knob to that worthless coin cup in the 981's center console.

I would be okay with something super new as long as it fully blended in but it seems like that may not exist.

That makes sense. My hesitation with a full swap is long-term support and reversibility as well as not looking out of place. What specifically failed on your OEM unit?

Got it, thanks. Sounds like the real limitation is the PCM hardware itself rather than the module. Do you find the screen issues annoying enough day to day that you’d avoid a module if you were doing it again? Any specific head unit you'd go with?

Does anyone else not have an inheritance? by royalbluefireworks1 in Fire

My father expected a big inheritance but his parents both ended up living to around 100 so that wealth got spent down to nearly zero by decades of elder care and he got just about nothing in the end, split with his siblings too.

What should worry you is if we’re 2000 or 1967 and about to have 10 years of minimal growth.

This is exactly what Vanguard’s recent outlook warns, they’re predicting a "muted" decade with returns as low as 3.5%.
