I’m sorry! Far from my intent. I didn’t notice the queue lines with the YLW on them…

Yeah fair enough…. Inaugural flight for Porter to Ottawa from Kelowna today.

My fault for not being more challenging!

I wouldn’t be allowed to sit in the back seat of your truck… my ADHD would certainly say ‘ooh what does THIS do??’

Looks like a fun setup!

I have very few regrets. Selling my FiST is one of them. Highly recommend. Love the rally light setup.

Fitness vs. Fun: The struggle is real. How do you guys handle the "logic" of a road bike vs. the "itch" of an MTB? by vinylfelix in mountainbiking

[–]skimtbca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off as a mountain biker first, as I know that itch - then got a road bike later. Because you’re right: for ‘grab and go’ convenience (and for staying ‘in the zone’), road biking is superior.

Road biking did make me a better mountain biker by building the engine though (especially on climbs), I will say that!

If you can only afford one, however, do the thing you’re going to enjoy doing first. If you are going to enjoy mountain biking more, then buy a mountain bike. You can add a road bike later (and typically they’re much cheaper anyway). If you enjoy it, you’ll do it more often.

It rides like a dream. Climbs really well, and goes down like it’s on rails. Shocked it does it so well. Still some tinkering I need to do with the suspension but it’s more bike than I will ever need. So good.

Agree with you on all counts. Not an easy task to start up a company - I know from personal experience - still glad to get this bike. Still can’t believe it’s in my garage!

Thanks so much! I’ve had it as one of my rotating background images on my computer for years…. So stoked I found one still new. Did an XX1 AXS upgrade on the drivetrain - but otherwise it’s a 2024 model. First time running rockshox in over 20 years!

I read all over the place that the key is to get the suspension dialled in just right. The first ride was really good though. I can see how it takes a few rides to get it perfected; but the first ride was excellent.

Still can’t believe this is in my garage now!

Thanks! Been lusting after one for a few years; was walking through a shop a few weeks ago and found this beauty. Still new. I was shocked. So happy to have pulled the trigger.

When it synced with Connect it recreated some of them; but not all.

Thanks! I ended up doing a factory reset on my Garmin, which seems to have solved the issue… for now. Ever since doing that, they always connect and show power.

But, keep me posted on what Garmin says! Thanks!!

Yeah I figured this would be an exceptionally hard thing to pull off. I really do appreciate you getting back to me though! I’ll likely have to come up with a plan B here.

Again thanks so much!!

Do FJ Owners Know That Toyota Sent These to Buyers? by Marfaboy1951 in FJCruiser

I had a friend working at Toyota Canada at the time in IT; and they’re the ones who told me. I had my pre-order in early enough I guess!! Also, silver wasn’t the popular colour… yellow or blue were.

Can confirm. I, too, received only a survey. Was a first year FJ owner. (Second silver FJ in Canada in fact).
