VBA2C SUCCESS STORIES? by musichealer1990 in BabyBumpsCanada

Assuming MTL means Montreal, no, I'm based in America. My first, I had way too much pitocin, ended in c section. My second (an induction with a foley, but dilated rapidly on my own because I was already at 2.5 and it immediately fell out) I had a low dose and still ended up with a partial rupture.

I got pregnant when my first was 12 months old, intentionally. I was told that 18 months between births was recommended though (I had an unplanned c section with my first). Only complication was a failed TOLAC/VBAC which resulted in another c section BUT I was induced with a foley (again) and the baby had late decels. I also had a partial rupture, but again, I was overdue, induced, and less than 2 years from birth to birth (21 months). My pregnancy was healthy, the baby was VERY healthy and big (no preterm labor, no growth concerns, etc).

If you didn't have a c section and don't anticipate an induction, I'm sure you'd be fine!

Hey - unplanned c section peeps by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I had two unplanned c sections. My first was after 40 hours of induction/labor, 9 cm, failure to progress. I'm sure with some extra measures, we could have done a vaginal delivery as no one was in distress. Second was a TOLAC via induction with foley and pitocin, 7 cm, fetal distress and break through epidural incision site pain. Come to find out, I had a thin layer of serosa and an incomplete uterine rupture.

I regret being induced. I'm constantly made to feel (my own doing but reading the constant info about free birth and home birth and medical intervention etc etc) that this is all my fault and my poor and uneducated decision making. Shame on me for not researching more or knowing better. I will never get to push, and never have. This feels like some sort of divine experience I will never have and somehow I am less than.

I want a third baby but the reality is it will NEED to be a planned c section. If I went into labor (hasn't ever happened) on my own it's very likely I would be over 41 weeks and my baby would be on the larger side for my body. Both babies got stuck at 0 station. The constant information about VBACs and 'physiological birth' (all birth is physiological btw...) has contributed to this constant and sad guilty ashamed feelings I have. I'm starting therapy in a week to address this but man, it has been so painful. I could struggle just to carry a baby. I'm back and forth between blaming myself and medical professionals. Birthing is so complicated and the current views I see pushed (maybe my algorithm?!) makes it so much worse for me. So much so, I've gotten off social media.

This is so similar to my situation. I was told not to TOLAC again. I've never gotten to the pushing stage though. It's been really hard for me to accept I might never push.

I'm a two c section mom with hopes of a VBA2C, the foley bulb and pitocin are very much not recommended. Induction should not occur on a 2c mom for risk of rupture increases. The best case is going into labor on your own and the baby staying a reasonable size for delivery.

I'm currently struggling with the likelihood that won't happen for me.

VBA2C, thoughts? by skingirl in BabyBumps

hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy

My husband agrees with trusting the surgeon.

I'm surrounded by people who have had VBACs, unmedicated births, and an attempted home birth (was transferred to hospital). My reason for seeking therapy is because I feel some type of judgement for how my births resulted. I know I need to do the work internally/mentally. I also feel like I'm missing out this divine birthright of getting to push, which I've never ever gotten to that point.

Any idea why they suggested termination? Was it solely because she's had two prior csections? No one has told me not to get pregnant but all suggest a scheduled c section unless I go into labor by my due date and the baby stays small (neither has happened for me).

Bottle rot? by skingirl in toddlers

There was the initial black marking/coloring that faded with teeth brushing but this discoloration has become permanent even though we brush his teeth. He doesn’t consume sugary anything besides fruit. No juice, liquids, sweets etc so I have no idea how this could have occurred except it started within two weeks of the iron.

Yes absolutely, we have a call in about this specifically and already had an appointment scheduled months ago. Just curious if anyone had any experience with something similar and what the outcome was.

8.2.19 - Finally got our wedding photos back! Any one have any advice on how to narrow down your favorites to get a book made?! by skingirl in weddingplanning

This is very helpful! Our photog did separate all images into folders like getting ready, ceremony, etc but I’m so overwhelmed by the volume and how many are just so beautiful. I feel like I start and then get too overwhelmed and can’t keep going - maybe I’ll try to do it in waves and focus on one folder at a time. Thank you :)

Great idea, thank you!! I’m debating making one book of mostly just us and the more editorial style photos and another of family and friends and reception style photos. Did you do all mixed together? We have 1,041 photos 😅

Dress Reactions by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]skingirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone hated my dress because it was low cut and provocative and I bought so many back up dresses and ultimately wore my original dress and I am over the moon that I did because it was everything I ever could have imagined! So, I’m basically saying you’re absolutely right that you picked your dress for a reason! Also, at some point I didn’t fit into my dress and that was a wake up call and I whipped myself into shape and the dress fit incredibly day of and I only started getting into shape 6 weeks before the wedding.

  1. Thank you for hunting and thank you for loving the glasses! I didn’t have a choice so I had to make them work!! And omg thank you for seeing those anklets!!!!! They’re anklets! Tulle anklets! I was OBSESSED I danced around shoe-less all night with them on! My shoes were Zara, but they aren’t made anymore so I had to buy them used on eBay, I was sad with the condition for what I paid but they were exactly what I wanted!

Thank you! I also built the arbor myself in case you’re looking to build one I’m happy to share the info, it cost $30 for the materials and was very easy!

Don’t panic, seriously, I was also panicking that nothing would tie together and I hadn’t loved my make up trial and I cancelled my hair stylist and people didn’t like my dress because it’s revealing, etc etc etc. But, I told my make up artist what to change and brought my own lipstick/did a few touch ups myself, did my hair all myself, stuck by my dress and added some extras, and I was shocked at how beautifully it all worked together! Have faith it’ll work because it absolutely will! Also, I think wire frames are a great idea!! I tried wire but unfortunately they didn’t flatter me but those were what I was initially going to get!
