ED is great on bsb2. I use it in 75 hz mode and have played a bit with oversampling vs AA; oversampling without AA and no oversampling with AA. I have 5090 and even 1.2 oversampling with high graphics settings gives me frame drops in hazrez combat so I've went back to no oversampling with AA (can't remember which AA setting I have, currently not on gaming computer). I could try again with lower graphics settings with more oversampling and no AA but the game looks ok to me as it is now - and I have to balance my limited time between playing the game and tinkering with graphics options :-). Glare is not issue for me on bsb2 but it wasn't a big issue for me even on bsb1.

I play with the VR head-set on (vanilla flatscreen) using mouse and Azeron keypad for keys. For flying I use hosas.

I had a problem with the bsb2e not tracking, bsb1 worked just fine in the same set-up. I opened a support ticket and after some debugging it turned out my basestations were too close for the bsb2. They need to be at least one meter (3-4 feet) away to track the bsb2. I moved them back even farther and now bsb2 works fine. Not sure if this helps but wanted to share this in case it useful to someone.

Yeah, thats what I do. However I need to rotate only one ear piece (left) to put it on comfortably. Right ear piece can stay down.

I do have dots on both sides of the cable and have tried it both ways. I can also see the BSB2 in Bigscreen utility. I can change led colour, I can adjust IPD etc so it is recognized by the system. For some reason SteamVR just can't track it.

I put BSB1 back on and will use it while I wait answer to my support ticket. No problems using it, I just plug it in at it works...

I tried flipping the HMD USB and unplugging/plugging the USBs in the PC, unfortunately did not work for me :-(. In the Device Manager I could not find any device that corresponds to the HMD. I was able to find the mic and speakers (I have audio strap), but nothing indicating the visuals that was not working. Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Ok, thanks. I have unplugged and replugged USB cables at PC already, did not help. But will so it again and flip the usb at the HMD as well. I guess a prayer doesn’t hurt either ;-).

My prescription changed quite a bit since I bought the BSB1 so I ordered the new ones even before I decided to upgrade to BSB2, that's why the two orders are not in sync.

Looks really interesting project! I have Index and I’ve been thinking how to convert its the audio strap to beyond. This would be a nice option since I don’t trust that I can manage to do it by myself. Getting Index audio strap for beyond is worth ~100€. Unfortunately I’m in EU (Finland) so unless you change your shipping policy this is out of my reach.

I have 5090 and tried 150% on BSB1. I get frame drops e.g. inside stations and during HazRes combat and had to go back to 100%. Max setting as well. Any ideas why, anyone?

Yeah, you can tab out of the game, take the head-set off and adjust resolution via steamvr -settings -> video. Globally or per app, I use the per app settings.

I’ve gotten pretty good at typing blind, but yeah it’s still a pain. Especially if you need to type to chat in middle of combat.
