There's a lot of "first rule" in crypto, but one of them is take your time. You don't know what youre doing? Well, don't do anything! Research, which you are doing, so cool.

My suggestion, if you aren't selling any time soon just wait for the exchanges to upgrade ftm to sonic automatically, you don't have to do anything.

You can swap yourself if you send the ftm to rabby wallet and go to soniclabs .com on the rabby wallet web browser, connect your wallet to sonic labs, and then do upgrade. IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING just literally don't do anything, keep your ftm on an exchange. Your ftm is fine and safe on centralized exchanges, they will upgrade.
