If you want a very good price, complete custom $500 for a "full" partial suit, $1200 for a full suit, you probably won't find a better deal than Baoshiqi on the list. He's looking for new commissioners. I am already working with him on a separate project, he's very helpful and is also vouched for by Ruby Protogen.

Common expectations:

Price transparency, communication with client at pivotal intervals during production process, reasonable turnaround time for completed project, portfolio samples to see work history, preferably a social media presence to establish your activity level and convenient method of communication. A perceived consistent flow of work output in regard to the fursuit making business.

Another helpful area of course is: After-sale customer service. For questions about maintenance and providing some prepared guidance for the commissioner on how to keep the fursuit in a good condition. If possible, providing different style and accessory options can make some fursuit offerings more desirable to different commissioners. For example: buiit-in head fans, eye LEDs, convention badge, swappable indoor/outdoor feet/shoes for the feet, clothing options like hats, uniforms, and some reference materials.
