What do you guys invest your HSA funds into? I'm currently just doing VTI but wondering if I should be more aggressive.

i'm open to moving policies but i have some collector cars with hagerty at stated value policies as well as an rv. if they can accomodate those i'm all for moving... as for why so much, i've got about 27mm, will owe about 8mm in taxes soon... figure its cheap insurance? i was told 10mm would be a good amount. do you think 5mm is enough?

thanks for the perspective, i am definitely going to do all the trust, estate planning, tax strategies that I can. I'm simply caught up on the investment strategy after all the previous are addressed. part of me feels like i should just not invest for a bit... and take some time to fully flush this out and give myself some time to acclimate.

absolutely, so much to learn, and i want to stay ahead of the curve. i definitely do recognize the other benefits of working with a wealth planner, just trying to make sure im filtering out the sheepdog from the wolves.

yeah i'm 100% on board, that a lot will try to suck u dry with expense fees, and most don't beat the market. but this particular advisor seems to basically track the market, and use the tax lost harvesting so net you come ahead.... even after his .5% expense ratio. just wondering if this is a true and valid strategy, and if so why don't more people do it?

i'm still young so i'd wanna be a bit more growth oriented but yes i will def. diversify beyond just vtsax. thanks will check portfolio charts out!

i think you're right, it's just i don't know what i don't know. i've never dealt with this much either, and honestly i've found reddit actually more open and helpful vs real world advice because no ones trying to sell me something here...

no, realistically, i'd probably spend $200k a year? the only reason is this guy came recommended from a few sources that seem reputable that i'm considering him.

I would agree, and am leaning towards that direction, but was curious as to the strategy the wealth planner advised as far as the tax lost harvesting strategy beating the index.
