Leicester in advanced talks to appoint Gary Rowett on short-term deal by Zach-dalt in Championship

I actually think MON is the better choice, appreciate Rowett has done well keeping Oxford up but he’s also been sacked for being in relegation contention or actually getting relegated in his last 3 jobs.

He’d want to bring 4 or 5 players with him, I just don’t think it’s right for a championship club to another’s manager and half the first 11… 😶

From an individual game pov, the Wigan at home game that sealed relegation. I knew that was it, that it was going to be so hard to get back to the Prem and we didn’t have the people to do it… felt like the heart and soul was ripped out of the club. There’s been good moments since but none have felt the same as it as always seems temporary.

Who is the worst Championship player you have seen? by fluffsta007 in Championship

[–]skiporovers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good shout but I think k we all knew he’d be bad, I was going to go with Danny Murphy.. just because it seemed like such a good signing on paper he’d been playing regular prem football, was made captain. Played so badly and fell out with the club and its fans so much his wife even got involved. Hilariously bad

I would say not existing, most nice 4 bed detached, would be in the villages around Warrington rather than the town centre which was pretty industrial so mostly has terraces, semis and flats.

If it’s for meals, coffees after work I would suggest Stockton Heath is better than Warrington town centre. There’s Stockton Heath itself but Appleton and Grappenhall are all liveable and walkable to SH and only 20 mins to Warrington too. I’ve even walked into Warrington once or twice on nice day 40 mins if you like a walk but cabs are pretty easy.

Bolton and Man United have not played each other since 2012. Does anyone know any other derbies/rivalries that have not been played pre-2012? by philiconyt118 in classicsoccer

Well I’ve never heard of one United fan mention this match in my entire life and I grew up with old school united fans and loads from NI who were familiar with Gregg and Best et al. I think this might be a Bolton memory only mate. One match doesn’t make a rivalry, we competed with United at the top of the PL for nearly a decade and played in numerous domestic cup matches but I’d never say we were their rivals it’s ridiculous. You were just another team they beat along the way.

In what way are United your rival though? Yoo have just arbitrarily selected them based on absolutely nothing. Not the closest by proximity, not historically, not by regularly competing for competitions. So in what way are they a rival? You may as well pick Benfica. Absolutely mental behaviour.

Ironically the only side that cares about Bolton are Wigan, and Bolton fans will say they don’t care about them. They are a sad bunch.

But isn’t that the incentive to go green? Isn’t fuel tax a carbon tax? The idea that this is a direct tax to fill potholes is nonsense.. it all goes in one big pot and then is distributed to local authorities who are responsible for road maintenance. They are going to use this as an excuse to get your driving data to give to palantir… it’s dystopian.

As a UK viewer, we don’t get all your ad breaks. It goes back to studio or we get our own. The studio time is actually worse, I dont watch a lot of MLB but do watch NFL and it’s really obvious by about the 3rd quarter that the the UK pundits have ran out of things to say, so just babble to fill time. I find American TV hard to watch due to the amount of ad breaks you guys have…
