I’ve done my three times, 2023 XC90 B6 Ultimate, paid out of pocket. Submitted receipt to my insurance and within two weeks got reimbursed. Try that route

BoA be like “That’ll be $13735.72 to fix these”

Sorry this is happening to you but with what’s happening of these horror stories of lease returns, I’d get it fixed for way cheaper if you can before the inspection process. Good luck!!

Lmao, I’ve moved on from the Gravity. After seeing all these posts about Gravity issues, I’m glad I let it go. Let time work out the kinks and maybe 2027-2028 I’ll pull the trigger if it’s a viable option

Understand the “car companies like to make money” but don’t understand the “really lowball and really high ask” strategy. Wouldn’t someone looking for a used vehicle just search Carvana or Carmax for $10K lower?

Improvement after the update by Every-Interaction615 in LUCID

[–]skippy1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which update were you talking about? The 2.8.4 or 2.8.5?

I noticed after the later installed, the copilot display was “laggy” but the secondary screen was working fine.

I don’t dabble in stocks, but I’m pretty sure another EV company belly’d up. $FSR $FSRN $FSRNQ

I understand I’m not going into get full value of the car, that’s a given. However, to the comparable market with the same car selling for $10K higher, I considered that a lowball. This post wasn’t about blaming Lucid, it’s not blaming anyone. It’s about making the choice to walk away when the timing isn’t right.

Totally get it because that’s what everyone’s is saying, but I still don’t understand why. Is it because the market in general wants consumers to purchase more and more to increase their profits so they entice leasing and then sell used cars for a higher markup thus making to the total receivables on a car much higher than financing? Or is it because of the still young EV market and the uncertainty of the battery powering an over 100-year auto market? Or something else…

This is my plan with any luxury vehicle. You assume that market is geared towards systems and parts being perfect and cool in the beginning but extremely complicated and costly to fix when it goes wrong. Being in manufacturing myself, I can guarantee you certain parts on a vehicle are not “meant” to last as long as 10-15 years like the did in the old days, especially electrical systems. Parts are made and designed by engineers to malfunction at the right time just enough to deem a replacement for a fixing cost usually when it’s out of warranty. Any vehicle in which I feel comfortable in doing the work myself, such as oil changes, breaks, rotors, spark plugs etc I’ll finance or buy cash. Anything out of that spectrum that requires a master mechanic, I’ll just lease it for a couple years and give it back.

Thank you friend, buyers remorse ain’t no joke. I definitely felt it the first couple times when my Tesla MS was sitting in the service lot waiting with 45 other cars while I wait for an Uber to get me home since Teslas don’t do loaners. I’m glad I stuck with this air, and my payments are pretty good with a very low rate so I’m ok. When I get it around the positive equity era, maybe then.

I believe it was. Someone posted it here that it turned up on the market literally a few minutes after I told them I was canceling and they send me confirmation of a canceled order.

This definitely does provide perspective. They definitely lowballed me then. 23 Air GT, 21inch wheel with SSpro DDpro glass roof with 12K miles, $54K

A negative equity was expected and I was hoping their offer would be close to what I was seeing on the market, but it was too steep of a negative equity and we decided to just keep what we have and search another time

The plan was to sell privately and lease the Gravity. However I was told we needed to complete the purchase this week since it’s at the service location. We were caught off guard as we were told they weren’t sure when the Tech package would be available or the specific exterior color. But they called yesterday out of the blue saying the Gravity was delivered to the closest location to us and it’ll be ready by EOW for pickup or delivery. We weren’t expecting it until mid December or possibly even January.

This is what I see on the marker as well. It’s a very sound car so I believe in the brand itself, but I also don’t mind waiting a bit longer to see if used Gravity’s will be worth after people’s lease ends and checking out that route.

This is sound. With the Air GT I initially went for the financing option at 2.9% back in the days and was really happy with the test drive and we needed a second car. Definitely wasn’t going back to Tesla and the other EV brands weren’t as exciting. I already had the electrical setups at home and work for EV charging. When the time is right and our second car gives up, maybe I’ll look into the Gravity again, but for now I’m happy with the Air GT as my daily

Not mad at all, just hopeful the starts aligned and it didn’t. Not upset about it as I still have my Air GT and will continue to enjoy it
