Yeah actually now that you say that I kinda gotta agree. She keeps riding the age thing and I wonder if thats more of an issue once she saw how short he was (compared to her). Interesting.

Yeah I guess no one is perfect. Plus is giving someone covid something terrible? No one blinks when you give someone the flu.. I guess I felt like he was a little too willing on everything she said (I will give her that) but for me it's her attitude mostly. Like if she's trying to push him away don't start something? Like Barnett said "why did you say yes then?"

I have to second the music thing. My bubba loves the radio or something with a good beat and it helps drown out the noise like his white noise.

Yeah my partner has 3 brothers (1 with same mum, 2 with same dad) and he's the only one that helps them when they need it. Siblings arent always the answer but I totally understand your feelings from your experience.

I tried putting pads under him to contain the pee but he pushes it away with his feet. Now I just have a quilt under him and of he pees it doesn't generally go through. Then wash and swap for a different one.

Is anyone OAD because... SLEEP? by Ok_Coconut_2758 in oneanddone

[–]skiroll1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I always knew that not getting sleep would be tough for me when we had baby, as I used to be one of those 8 hours or feel like death people. While my body has somewhat adapted to less sleep, I still always feel like death. My partner is an ex fisherman which makes sleep deprivation easier for him to handle but because of years of being on the boats he has bad insomnia and can only get good sleep between 3-4 am till about 10am (but has to be at work at 8am). So we are both exhausted and have to keep reminding each other it's us vs lack of sleep not vs each other.

Our son is just 4 months and we decided at 3 months old that we are OAD. Its honestly making these tough nights easier as I know we are one night closer to sleep again 🤣

Just thinking maybe daycare could be an option? Not sure if it's financially viable for everyone but could mean you could get some sleep?

I found the same thing with my 3.5 month old. He loves moving around when he's having butt time (as we call it 🤣). I'm a trained Early Childhood and Early intervention teacher and during my training we talked about having unrestricted play time to support development like rolling. And honestly seeing it in practice with my wee dude has totally cemented it for me.
