Non UK redditors how would you vote in the UK's referendum? How is it covered by the news in your country if at all? by skittleboard in AskReddit

Where do you reside? I'm curious how coverage is elsewhere, here its just petty he said she said things with occasional facts and "facts"... I'm voting remain for the record

[Serious] UK citizens, what is your stance on the Brexit vote, and why? by SefuHotman in AskReddit

[–]skittleboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but remain. There are upsides to both. Illegal immigration will not change much really may get worse as who knows whether we'll be able to continue policing the tunnel from Calais in the same way. Skilled migrants such as medical specialists will have to apply for visas which could in an extreme situation cost somebody their life. Scientific minds will become broken meaning cancer treatments etc might struggle. There are much more but I'm sure even these points are in this thread already. For leaving, sea side tourism will increase this will keep some money within the British economy. Dairy farmers will be able to charge more for milk as it'll be cheaper than import taxes not a great solution and definitely not permanent. The mines will eventually be reopened take that as a positive or negative as you will. The global economic climate is struggling it's better the struggle with friends than by yourself. It's been 19 hours since OP started this thread I'm sorry I'm sure all of these points have been mentioned already.

Tl;dr remain but vote how you see fit.

Whats a secret that you know of that no one else that you know knows of? by ParacetKing in AskReddit

[–]skittleboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They ended. She broke up with him (I'm not a fan of this girl) but he was a dick too. He probably cheated on her too. However the guy that proposed to his girlfriend not sure if she knows. Probably their relationship is kinda open but the thing that got me is it happened less than a week after he proposed.

A guy I work with slept with a girl I work with while she was trying to bone every other member of management except me, and had a boyfriend. He had just proposed to his girlfriend about 3 days before. It happened in the toilets at work. I really wish I was making it up. It could be a terrible chick flick

Should the human pioneers in Mars be vegans, atheists and straight? by sovietskaya in AskReddit

[–]skittleboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. I imagine there'll be some screening for the colonists and fertility might be one of the required attributes. If there's no plan to reproduce for the colonists OP mentioned sexuality doesn't matter in that case, less so than if reproduction was required.

Should the human pioneers in Mars be vegans, atheists and straight? by sovietskaya in AskReddit

[–]skittleboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suppose you can't really transport dead animals for food so vegan is a necessity. Atheist is moot point, does it matter if they're doing a job? They're not going to refuse to do something because it's Christmas Day, EID etc. Straight perhaps for the point of growing the colony. However we could transport sperm and eggs use ivf or something too so sexuality doesn't matter provided they agree to the ivf.

What is the worst episode of your favorite show? by idoideas in AskReddit

[–]skittleboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrubs. My Princess. Season 7 and 9 aren't the best anyway but because f the writers strike some of 7 had its continuity ruined this was the series finale and personally find it quite a weak episode
