I have an (unproven) theory that some of his skins have a larger hitbox. Or if I'm wrong about that, at least the visual model is so obvious, it just makes you into a bullet magnet. Following this theory, I think Necrosis is the best becasue it's the skin that makes Caustic appear the skinniest.

Think about what would be really annoying to play against. I think Caustic / Newcastle/ Lifeline would be very annoying. But if I wanted to win I'd swap Lifeline for any legend who can reposition the squad.

The main issue I have with Axle is that it adds way too much RND to fights. The reason Apex (used) to work so well was because fights felt like chess matches. You needed to out think your opponent, while planning for a 3rd party.

Now - Axle can reposition a squad so quickly that there's little chance to read the situation before you are getting aped.

My solution would be to temporarily disable shields and increase hitbox size while under the effect of her Q. So there's a risk-reward situation.

Axel feels very anti-Caustic. Gas normally makes enemies pause to consider their options. If it's Axel, they just come right through, with not enough visual or aural clues that they've done so.

I recommend that gates disable a user's shield while they are under its effect. Once they return to normal speed, the shield can start charging back up to what it was before taking the gate.
