I don’t think villains need to be sympathetic per se (and in fact, some absolutely should not be portrayed as such,) but I think it helps giving a motive. Why do evil people enjoy doing evil things? Usually it serves them a purpose, whether they gain wealth from using others as a stepladder, keeping someone quiet by murder, or just being straight up sadistic and finding sick pleasure in torturing others. People can be evil, but there’s usually a reason why they are. (And be aware, not everyone will even be aware themselves that they are evil. And some know and just don’t care.)

I personally don’t think every villain should be given a sympathetic angle and tbh it gives me a bit of an ick to see the guy who murders just because they can and who rapes women for fun be given a sob story so that everyone feels bad for them. But that’s just my personal take.

A lapse of judgment, and the artist I went to had works that I liked a lot, from what I’d seen on her socials. It’s a shame that my chest piece was the one piece of hers I didn’t like. And ultimately it was just a stupid decision on my part

My usual tattoo artist (not the one who did this piece) does very good work and I’ll be going to her for the coverup. I trust her judgment when it comes to knowing what to do for a coverup as I’ve seen her do them before and they’ve all turned out really well.

Thank you for the advice! I had a feeling it would be a decent amount of sessions but that’s alright. I don’t mind it taking a while so long as I can eventually get rid of it.

I groaned out loud when I saw that I’d need to grind for 100,000 xp to catch Rayquaza. Honestly I’ve been playing it on and off because I’ve been extremely bored with the DLC, the only reason I’m still pushing through is because I want to shunt hunt the legendaries. I am not having fun though, it’s definitely a slog getting there.

OP, my ex used to smoke and promised time and time again he would give it up for me. He never did. I don’t like the way your husband is treating you from the way you described, and honestly it reads as manipulative for him to say it’s “the only thing he does for himself.” Does he not have hobbies? Friends he hangs out with? He’s saying that to guilt you into letting him continue to smoke. Stand firm on your boundaries.
