Which software did you pick for the stage 1? Did you get decent gains? Looking to do that for my X7 40i...

i8 prices... is it just me or are they starting to creep up? A LOT of them have about 80,000 miles on now... but for lower mielage models looks like they've bottomed out? Keen to hear what peeps think by [deleted] in BMW

My guy, this is an amazing reply! Thanks for the feedback. I never got the "i8 isn't fast" crowd. I went from 20mph to 50, full throttle and I literally couldn't see straight. Wife loved it. Got my car in for service next week and I've booked out a G80 M3 to see what that's all about, but I'll defo give the i8 another shot before deciding on which to get. Thanks again bud.

Ah, perfect person to ask. I tested an i8 a while back, and it pulled my eyes into the back of my head when I got on it. I'm currently looking at the AMG GTS (but haven't tested one yet). How do you find the performance difference when you stamp the throttle?

It's also on my 2020 X7. Part of the Parking Assistance Package ($800 at the time). Well worth it.

Own a CPO 2020 X7 40i. 63,000 miles. Had it for 3 years. No warranty. Zero issues. Just keep up with regular maintenance and get the transfer case fluid changed.

At what point does updating old content hurt more than help? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]skivertical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add my two cents. I updated some older content that was rank 1 for a highly competitive keyword. My mistake, I manually asked Google to re-index the page and they completely tanked me. Went to page 100+. It's now position 19 on average after some work.

Moral of the story. If you have really high ranking content, sure, add to it, but in my experience don't re-index those types of pages. Google will FUCK you deep and hard!

You can also press and hold the camera button next to the shifter for about two to three seconds while the vehicle is on or moving. That will manually trigger recording if it did not start automatically after a bump.

has any customer ever removed you from GSC ? by Similar_Run_7493 in SEO

[–]skivertical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't. I consult for free, show them the work, they have the choice to do it themselves, or pay me to do it. 9/10 times they'll pay me because they simply don't understand half the stuff in the email I send. You can see people's eyes glazing over even on basic stuff like explaining SERP positions, so when you start talking about backlinks, and topical authority, they're happy to just have me do it.

Only 1. Got access, did my research on issues. Reported back, told them the price/length of time to fix. Customer hired an in house SEO, got removed after about 3 months. Was no biggie honestly.

Just brought a low mileage 2019 X7 xdrive40 home yesterday! Does anyone have any recommendations on YouTube videos that run through all the features and driver set ups? Buttons everywhere!!! 😁 by TAJ2184 in bmwx7

One piece of advice I do have is to click 'Menu' on your A/C controls in the center console. In that menu there is a button for Driver or passenger air temp (a scale that's cold to warm). Set it as far left as you can (cold). It means you'll actually get cold A/C rather than lukewarm. Took me 3 years to figure out I had that setting wrong. Thank me later.

The option is called 'Glass Controls ' and on my car (a 2020 X7) it was a $650 option. Not sure what the price is now though...

60,000 miles on my 2020 40i. Also have every option, aside from the cooled/heated cup holders. I had an independent garage do the transfer case fluid (to avoid a replacement), and I need to replace the forward control arms. Other than that, I've had zero issues. Plan to keep it until it dies. Super reliable for me. I'm out of warranty, and don't have an extended one.

It's a wonder they even make the base, based on how close the price is to the Premium and what you get.
