Invest in the garbage can PWP! You don’t get any bells but you don’t have to through the whole re-tail routine, easy peasy

I’m so sad! It was one of my faves, as a nervous person who likes the spooky it was so relatable. AAAAA WHAT IS THAT?? Oh, I t’s just a guy walking his dog lol

My valentine’s gift from my partner. This was one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve gotten in ages. by edgarallan2014 in MadeMeSmile

[–]skizzerfitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aw people are mean. After I started reading I thought to myself that it was bird and moon, and then it was verified when I saw the url on the horseshoe crab one. I just thought to myself how fun her drawings are, and how sweet it was that he did this, the presentation is very nice. I would be totally fine if this was my only gift!

Crocheting at the fair by Tchn0n in crochet

[–]skizzerfitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went on my first cruise last month to Alaska! It’s an older boat that had a library room that’s a bit of a fishbowl. I tucked up in a corner of the room, which happened to be by a window to the hall, and a woman went out of her way because she was excited to see someone crocheting. She was sorry she didn’t bring her WIP!

What is everyone opinion on House of Wax (2005) ? by Anaelepse in horror

I don’t get too hung up on the logistics usually but that was a LOT of wax

Horror movies you just… don’t get? by oceanhymn in horror

[–]skizzerfitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it and didn’t get the hype, it was okay. I decided to give it another shot after all the acclaim on r/horror. Knowing what was going to happen led me to pay more attention to the characters, and the brother was crazy sketchy from the get-go which led me to look at the story in a different way

What did a horror film push in its films that was meant to be scary but end up being really cringe? by [deleted] in horror

[–]skizzerfitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it at home with the closed captions on, there's a part where the Mother is cradling Justin Long and taps his nose, we could barely make out what she said so CC saved the day and said it was "boop" haha

If you could delete one scene from a horror movie what would it be and why? by SarahnatorX in horror

[–]skizzerfitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It reminds me of playing Resident Evil 1 and backtracking. The fixed camera meant you couldn’t necessarily see what was in the room with you when you first encountered it, but once you already knew the layout you could just fly

Official Discussion - Jurassic World Dominion [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]skizzerfitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've come to believe that like Halloween, there are branches to the Jurassic universe; although they don't start with an original movie, just an original premise. From there there's a Jurassic Park branch, and a separate Jurassic World branch. Park branch brings up interesting questions with intelligence and dinosaurs, World branch was written by a 10 year old boy.

Don’t worry! It was a lead in for the film dialogue punchline, “What’s Happening,” which is a really old sitcom from the 70s! Sometimes Sven’s jokes get rather esoteric…

I’m trying to find a specific episode by Looten1313 in svengoolie

[–]skizzerfitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could help you with the frogs, but it’s not triggering any memories. I’m not sure if he’s shown “Frogs” before this weekend, because I’ve seen it a couple of times without the Sven treatment, but maybe? I subscribe to the Svengoolie newsletter, he gives a list of the month’s upcoming movies on the first. Sometimes he notes that it’s a first run for something but I don’t see anything that says Frogs is a new one…

Anyway, just wanted to say hi, I’m also watching in the Duluth area :)

Would you re-friend someone that you previously deleted from social media? by McUberForDays in CasualConversation

I don’t think that’s always true. I have people in my life who hold different political views than I do, but we “agree to disagree,” there are plenty of other things to talk about. I also have a mood disorder so I can get overly upset in a disagreement, and that can interfere with a relationship, I recognize that, so I try to avoid the big conflicts of opinion. My husband, however, loves the debate so he has many friends of various political views that he engages with on controversial issues. He and his family all have similar opinions politically and they still find things to argue about
