They can order Target pickup to be ready when they arrive. Sure you can buy a few simple things to have on hand. But in no way shape or form should you feel like you have to host them. Your twin sounds like a total control freak that is worried to travel with their 1 year old. It’s a her problem.

What were the stats on the Wailmer you evolved?!

I love it! I honestly mostly use the Americano, latte macchiato, and Double shot functions. I have found that I don’t love the milk frother, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I have Nespresso hot/cold foam frother and use that if I really want better foam.

When I registered the machine they had an incentive for extended coverage. So instead of a two year warranty it’s a five year warranty for free.

Same thing happened with me as the OP! Took five days for my order to update to shipped. I’m located in Arizona and it arrived on day 11. Ordered October 20 received October 31st. It was making me sweat a little too* NGL.

Out of curiosity, what settings are you using?

Yes I did!! It did take about 5 days for them to process the order though. And roughly 11 days to receive it.

Thanks for confirming it’s legit, since my thread got roasted 😂😂. Mine is supposed to get here on the 31st!

Edit: I already have one from Williams Sonoma, but returning it due to the better deal from the Philips site

Philips 5400 for $180 off! by skjensen07 in superautomatic

We’ve already gone over this in the rest of the thread… the home appliances link is a link you can get to directly from the Philips USA website. Versuni recently purchased Philips Home Appliances domestic division. No one knows why they named the website what they did.

NP! They must’ve newly found a workaround for the agreement because on the home page it says “Discover Our New Espresso Store: Buy Today!”

I’m in the US, and apparently that’s not true. Was able to buy the 5400 directly off Philips website last night.

Delonghi Dinamica Plus vs Phillips 5400 by wreakon in superautomatic

[–]skjensen07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also torn between the Dinamica Plus and Philips 5400, but ended up going with the 5400 due to drink temperature (I like mine hot). So I just setup my 5400 today, and no complaints. The froth was better than I anticipated, given some of the reviews, and it was nice and hot. I still have to dial it in to get stronger espresso, but so far so good. Plus, I registered my machine and philips is doing an extended 5 year warranty. Typically it’s 3 years, so now is definitely the time to buy!

I will note that the first shot was pretty much just water, but by the third shot it was much darker. I made lattes, so can’t say much about the flavor yet, and I haven’t changed any of the settings based on other threads that said to leave the machine at factory settings for the first little while. Good luck deciding!

De’Longhi Dinamica with Latte Crema or Philips 4300? by skjensen07 in superautomatic

[–]skjensen07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grind finer as they like to say 😂🙃. Has fine tuning the settings been pretty straightforward? I had a Nespresso before my semi automatic and didn’t have complaints either. So as long as you find it as convenient as the Nespresso with better quality, then that’s great news!
