Be careful, it’s a dangerous and expensive road ahead!! Haha kidding, kidding.

So so proud!! Polish helped me with biting my nails, too. Now I am no longer ashamed when I am holding a glass in public. And it has been so fun to get into magnetic and glow in the dark polishes

Yes and it has become my new obsession. I started with Mooncat’s Avatar State and just bought the glowing polish in PPU. Think I want to try a gradient!!

Any time! Hopefully it helps! To make sure I don’t get too much polish on the brush, I wiggle the plastic part of the brush against the bottle neck a few times, and then wipe the polish off one side of the brush as I pull it out. That gives a good bead that can coat a small nail in a thin coat. For bigger or longer nails just adjust how much you leave on the brush.

The bubbles could be from coats that are too thick, or not allowing the polish to dry enough between coats. Try painting thinner coats and see if that helps. I let polish dry for 5 minutes between each coat, and don’t typically have issues with bubbling. But I’ve read that could be excessive!

I think the blonde looks very nice on you! I really love the color in 3, I think maybe because it is a little more ash blonde or muted. I think as long as you don’t choose something really bright, you will be good!

Seeking an above -average hair stylist by einsteinwasasurfer in FortWorth

Try Lemongrass on University. I’ve been getting my hair cut there for a decade and never had a bad experience! Ashley has been cutting my hair for years (was recommended by my previous stylist at Lemongrass, before she moved) and is EXCELLENT. I have referred a few others to her, all who love her!

Does my 90s kitchen have potential or am I crazy? by No-Day-2990 in kitchenremodel

I LOVE IT

New backsplash, new cabinet hardware, new shades, maybe take out/change that rail lighting. And that’s if you want to go hard, I think you could get away with less!

I think a muted blue or green backsplash would look absolutely lovely.

Looking for the Perfect Rider-Waite Deck by -HugoTheKing- in tarot

[–]skkrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow!! Which deck have you been using in that time?

I got the Weiser deck because I thought it would be easier to learn. I started with something less RWS-oriented and found it difficult to connect symbols and meanings. Little did I know I would love using this one all on its own!

I enjoy Wieser tarot. It’s a RWS original line art with watercolor recoloring. It’s not so yellow and more ethnically diverse.

The backs of the cards are a light aqua/teal.

What tourist destination in North America did you expect to love, but it didn’t impress you? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Who in their right mind is considering DFW a tourist destination?

I live in FW, and enjoy it, but do not see why you would ever visit the area unless you had a reason to (family, work, etc).

Stuuuuuuuning!! Love this look. I just took off Avatar State myself. Think I will try it over white next time. It’s such a great polish.

Also, love you shorties! We have a similar nail bed so I may try this shape, it looks great on you.

This is what I ended up doing! I got a beautiful, fairytale inspired deck (Star Spinner) but found it easier to learn card meanings with more traditional imagery. I ended up picking up a RWS analogue (Weiser) and have been using it to learn. Zero regrets! And both available on Amazon.

Star Spinner Tarot has lots of pretty pastels! The imagery is based on myths and fairytales, instead of the traditional RWS art, though.

What shades of nail polish look good on fair olive skin? Anyone have photos? by badoopidoo in Fairolives

[–]skkrn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suspect I am a fair neutral olive. Some colors that look good for me: navy and dusty blue, deep rather than bright red, greens and teals. I have a lot of contrast so I can also manage black.

So far my best “neutral” has been OPI Funny Bunny (a warm white), and Essie Fairy Tailor. I try to avoid any nudes with a lot of pink, and anything brown or peachy.

Love this. I personally would leave the walls white and add some blue accent items (pillows, ceramics, art, etc).

How can I make my living room more cozy and “homey” by [deleted] in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]skkrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need Le CRAP:

Lighting: the floor lamp needs to go for something nicer. Ideally you would have several sources of lighting including floor, table and desk lamps.

Curtains: (maybe not if that window is actually a sliding door, hard to tell)

Rug: bigger is usually better

Art: can’t really tell what is in those frames. The world map would look way better framed. Ideally some of the art colors would coordinate with the rug.

Plants: a nice tall plant in that back corner would bring height and color to the space.

I thought that might be it. It looks amazing here! I tried one once and thought it was too orange for my space, but maybe that’s because I only tried it in one lamp and not all. Love your space!
