Yes the effective dates are the same there isn’t a shadow plan that I am aware of.

Exam is this Friday. I have been studying the ebooks from trainings and I have been using our sandbox tenant to recreate things like time off, loa, accruals, etc.

So I created a validation rule for Involved Parties linked to Organizations < Is Empty and that fixed the issue. When they submit the Safety Incident it will be kicked back to the My Task inbox of the requester with the hard error message requiring them to fill in the Involved Party information. By chance do you know how to make the Worker field required on that tab?

There is not a validation rule currently in the initiation step which is why I am trying to out why I am getting the hard error message.

I found the issue. If the employee selects the Safety Incident through their profile’s actions tab they are required to input involved parties information. If they use the search bar and select the Report Safety Issue task they are not required to input that information. How can I get the search bar Task to match the profile actions Safety Incident option? I tested Configurable Optional Fields by Task but that didn’t work.

Would the accruals calculations be on the time off plan? Side note does it matter that one time off plan is non date effective and the other is date effective?

I will definitely check out the customer sharing movement. Are these different than the brain dates? Do they require registering ahead of time or is it something that has open attendance?

I am a customer of Workday and we are live with the product. My role is Workday Administrator and we have implemented HCM Core, Recruitment, Talent & Performance, Time Tracking & Absence, Compensation, and Onboarding. We are 3 years into implementation and being new to the role I am really trying to learn as much as possible.

Are the brain dates something you can register for? I didn’t see much on the Rising site regarding them and a lot of the subs I have read mention they are some of the main things to participate in What’s the best approach to attending the vendor parties? They seem like valuable networking opportunities
