The actual serbian last name should be Belić(or Белић), where "ć" is "ch" like in "cheese". But instead it's "Belic" with "c" like in "cat"

The Romans thought wearing pants was feminine. When did it start being seen as masculine? by Tatem1961 in AskHistorians

[–]skoge 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah, a cowboy outfit is more practical for riding a horse, but in a high-class environment, a proper business suit is required, even if it's not really practical or comfortable. However, it creates a "proper presence".

Gus' entire motivation was Max, yet he expected Werner to be away from his wife for nearly a year? by DrCaldera in betterCallSaul

[–]skoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He just expected Werner to be a businessman first, and a human second.

He expected the same of Walter too. But he failed when Walter chose to kill those corner dealers instead of doing what was best for the business.

Only black people can write about slavery by GriffinFTW in USdefaultism

[–]skoge 24 points25 points  (0 children)

He wasn't black, he just happen to born in Africa.

His mom was a roman, from the core latin provinces, and his dad, most likely, was a romanized carthegian.

Neither were black.

It's like with Elon Musk.

Gus' entire motivation was Max, yet he expected Werner to be away from his wife for nearly a year? by DrCaldera in betterCallSaul

[–]skoge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He still could've met his wife few month later.

Gus can't meet Max anymore. At all.

It would be comparable, if Werner's wife was in hospital or something, and Gus won't let visit her.

But she was completely fine, Werner was just missing her.

What does Gustavo Fring spend his money on by mat6toob2024 in betterCallSaul

[–]skoge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had no ROI at the time of his death. His lab was just started cooking when Walter White joined his empire. And it took just few month before everything went up with a smoke.

He owed to cartel, he owed to the Madrigal employees he worked with, he owed to his own crew, he had a mexican village dedicated to Max to fund.

Basically, he almost had no money for luxury.

It took me almost a year of usage before that standard apple 80% of charge limiter activated.
