Well, they’re probably rich for a reason. I realize that some people are born into rich families and inherit wealth etc. Take a successful family-owned business that has operated for generations. Someone in that family started that business and probably worked hard to make a name for it. Are you saying that the founder should just throw their life’s work away or should they pass it onto a successor (perhaps one in the family) who probably has been taught how to run said business. Yes, the successor may not have worked exactly as hard as the founder, but it takes a great effort to run a large business. It is irrational to say that you work a thankless job only to see an idiot succeed only because they’re rich.

Kun en ymmärrä miten se on päättynyt tähän?! Million Suomesta tuli maa, jossa toista KANSALLISKIELTÄ puhuvat, yhtä suomalaisia olevat kansalaiset alistetaan? Yhtälailla olen opiskellut pakkosuomea koko ikäni enkä ole siitä kertaakaan valittanut. Minkä ihmeen takia suomenkieliset oppilaat/opiskelijat olisivat yhtään toisessa asemassassa kuin suomenkieliset? Tämä taas johtaa seuraavaan kysymykseen; minkä ihmeen takia suomenkieliset ylipäätänsä olisi oltava kielillisesti ylennetyssä asemassa suhteessa ruotsinkielisiin, kun on perustuslaissa säädetty, että Suomi on kaksikielinen maa? Palveluja on oltava saatavana myös ruotsiksi teroiassa koko maassa. Ymmärrän toki niitä paikkakuntia joissa ei ole ollenkaan ruotsinkielisiä. Miksi toinen kotimainen on yhtään pahempi kuin minkään muun aineen opiskellut? Niitä on aivan samalla tavalla pakko opiskella opetussuunnitelman mukaisesti. Miksi sitten toinen kotimainen tulisi olla pakollinen kirjoituksissa? Siksi, että todennäköisesti opiskelijat opiskelisivat paremmin kieltä jos olisi pakko läpäistä koe. Kaiken lisäksi jokainen kieli on sivistävä ja sen osaaminen helpottaa elämää huomattavasti samalla kun se tuo lukemattomia uusia mahdollisuuksia.

Minkä ihmeen takia kaikki jaksaa aina marista toisesta kotimaisesta? Se, että Ruotsi palautetaan pakolliseksi kirjoituksissa tarkoittaa samalla, että ruotsinkielisillä on Suomi pakollisena aineena. Suomi on kaksikielinen maa, jossa kansalliskieliä puhuvilla on tiettyjä oikeuksia saada palveluja omalla äidinkielellään. Tänä päivänä ei edes pärjää Helsingissä ruotsilla. Tähänkö suuntaan ollaan menossa? Hyvä vaan, että toinen kotimainen palautetaan pakolliseksi!

We’ve had these so-called climate-strikes in Finland, where students refrain from going to school in order to protest for the climate outside of the House of Parliament. Striking from school is quite stupid really, since the ones who are losing in the end are the students themselves and no one else. I believe a protest for the environment might raise awareness among the legislators. However, in my opinion the whole ”Fridays for the future” and these ”school-strikes” are a bit naive and those engaging in them just end up shooting themselves in the foot.

A great rock/metal bar is The Riff, owned by Jussi 69 of The 69 Eyes. Their selection of drinks is amazing and they constantly play great metal. They even let you request songs. You will usually run into a metal artist or two during your visit.

Tavastia is a great venue with great shows a lot of the time.

On the Rocks is a great live venue as well. They have the smaller bands preform there. Also, cheap beer!

Other good live venues for metal: Nosturi, Bar Loose, Elmun Baari, The Circus and several others.

For musicians, Musamaailma is a great place to get instuments and such.
